My 2024 Quilt Projects
This post may contain affiliate links which won’t change your price but will share a commission.I can’t believe it is the end of 2024! It seems the older I get….the fast time goes by. I have kept busy and I’m not even sure how many quilt projects I have made this year. Let’s take a look at my 2024 quilt projects.
Island Batik Ambassador
The biggest event of the year was becoming an Island Batik Ambassador again. Usually my biggest event is that we are moving to another house. I am very happy in this house and love my quilt studio.
Okay, let’s start in January and see all my quilt projects for 2024. Each link will take you to the blog post about the quilt project.
Sewing Machine Cover
It looks like the first quilt project I completed in 2024 was my 9 Patch Indiana Star Sewing Machine Cover.

Hopscotch Quilt without Borders
I remade my Hopscotch quilt and updated the pattern to include 4 sizes now.

Jelly Roll Quilt
It seems like everyone wants to make a Jelly Roll quilt in January so I made this colorful Jelly Roll Quilt. I’m in the mood to make another one!

Mirage Log Cabin Quilt
In February I made my Mirage Log Cabin quilt as part of a Island Batik blog hop and then wrote the pattern for it.

Circular Illusion Wall Hangings
I made two Circular Illusion wall hangings and finally finished a pattern that I started in 2016 but forgot about.

Batik Pillow and Couch Cover
I still had some of the batiks from the Monarch collection and decided to make something for Rusty’s couch. Yes, he believes it is his couch and at Christmas he wasn’t too happy having to share it. I made him pillows and a couch cover.

Log Cabin Placemats
I always enjoy making something more than once. This was my 3rd set of Log Cabin Placemats.

Baby Blue Scrap Quilt
Now that I have a longarm I am trying to finish up some of the many quilt tops that I have. The Baby Blue Scrap quilt is made from fabrics that have been in my stash for a very, very long time.

Oasis Baby Quilt
This is a beautiful Oasis strip quilt made with batiks. I intended to get the pattern written and even have 2 larger quilt tops pieced but life got busy and I have yet to complete the pattern. Note to self – work on this!

I also made a Oasis Table Runner!

Quarter Square Log Cabin Table Runner
Many times I start out with a small quilt project and then design a quilt from it. I made the Quarter Square Log Cabin table runner in March.

It took a bit but I finally made a quilt and the pattern called Quarter Spin.

Layer Cake Latte
I made Layer Cake Latte as part of the Shortcut Quilts from Fat Quarter Shop and this is a free quilt pattern from Fat Quarter Shop.

Two Scrappy Mosaic Quilts
It is always fun to use up scraps and make quilts. I made 2 Scrappy Mosaic baby quilts.

Vibrant Joy Quilt
I made this quilt twice, the first time I called it Four Square Flight and then I wrote the pattern and made it again. Vibrant Joy is more fitting.

Harvest Hues
I made a beautiful paper-pieced quilt called Harvest Hues for another Island Batik blog hop.

Fall Gatherings Table Runner
I really liked the colors in the Fall Gatherings collection so I made this Fall Gatherings table runner.

Quilt Town Stacks
I remade my Stacks quilt using the Quilt Town fabrics from Missouri Star Quilt Company. Fun bright colors!

Breezy Mini Scattered
This was the first time I have used gray batik as my background fabric and I like it in my Breezy Mini Scattered quilt. I plan on using gray more often!

Scrappy Baby Quilt
I always have lots of scraps and I like to use them if possible. I am working on another one like this and you can find the tutorial as part of my Scrappy Baby quilt post.

City Birds Mini Quilt
As I was looking back at my posts I saw my City Birds Mini quilt and once again I see that the pattern was never written. Let’s hope it gets done in 2025!

Ugly Christmas Sweater
Using templates from Missouri Star Quilt Company, I made an Ugly Christmas Sweater wall hanging.

30’s Playtime Baby Quilt
I made a sweet 30’s Playtime baby quilt using fabrics in my July Sew Sampler box from Fat Quarter Shop. This quilt has already been gifted to our neighbors.

Cactus Flower Table Topper
I still had some of the Fall Gatherings batik collection so I made a Cactus Flower table topper.

Ellie Favorites Baby Quilt
This is a pastel baby quilt made with my Midnight Glow but with more quilt blocks.

One Charm Pack Baby Quilt
I enjoy making baby quilts because they are fast and a great way to show quilt blocks. This is my one charm pack baby quilt tutorial. They are perfect for gifts for a baby or as a lap top for someone.

Twilight Dragonflies
My Twilight Dragonflies quilt pattern is a combination of strip piecing and applique. The batiks used were perfect for the design!

I also made the quilt without adding applique using the Meadow Lane jelly roll.

Denim & Daisies Jolly Bar Quilt
The Denim & Daisies Jolly Bar quilt is a free pattern from Fat Quarter Shop and was fast and fun to make!

Charm Pack Cartwheel Quilt
The Charm Pack Cartwheel quilt was another of Fat Quarter Shop’s Shortcut quilts and is a free pattern.

Travel Duffle Bag 2.1
This was a challenge for me and it was beautiful and huge when finished. This was gifted to my daughter for her birthday and she loves it!

Flowing Meadow Dresden Quilt
The Flowing Meadow Dresden quilt was our final Island Batik Ambassador blog hop of the year. This is a beautiful quilt!

Ziggy Zag Holiday Table Runner
The Ziggy Zag table runner was a pattern I originally designed for AccuQuilt. I used some red and green batiks for a Christmas runner.

Twilight Triangles Quilt
This was my final Island Batik quilt this year and also my last quilt project for 2024. My Twilight Triangles quilt was fun to make and is beautiful in these colors.

Over 30 Quilt Projects in 2024!
I had several other small projects that I didn’t share as I was afraid this was getting too long. I really had a busy year and I’m exhausted after listing all of them!
I am already working on new quilts for 2025! Thank you for visiting me and I always enjoy all the wonderful comments you leave.

So many cute quilt projects! I had to save many of these to my Pinterest to make in the future!
Your 2024 quilts are awesome. Thanks for sharing. It’s a great motivation!
Thanks for the year in review. When I saw Quarter Spin, I was immediately in love and wondered how I missed that pattern this year. Bought your pattern and made a test block with scraps–its gorgeous and SO Simple. Have two layer cakes itching to be used so one of them is next. Happy New Year!!! And, keep those ideas coming, sometimes even a second or third time! LOL!
Wow Connie, I simply love all your 2024 quilts. Seeing them all together, you are inspiring, especially as I struggle to even finish one off properly! Though I do make smaller things in between 😊
A very Happy New Year to you and many good wishes for another super creative year.
Dear Connie, You have been very very busy in 2024 with all your lovely projects. Thank you for taking the time to show them all. And of course all the pictures of your little helper Rusty. He always makes me chuckle. Wishing you all the best for 2025
Great review, Connie! It has been a busy year! I hope we have a great year in 2025! My Chloe does not like to share her couch either so I totally understand Rusty!!
My goodness, Connie! You have had a very busy year. I love your sewing machine cover – that’s something I should do for myself as I’m really guilty about not covering my machine. Aside from that, you always make such beautiful projects and I always enjoy seeing them. I need to take inspiration from you as this has been one of my least productive quilting years. Here’s to a more productive 2025.
I wish you and Builder Bob and Rusty a very happy New Year and I look forward to your posts in the coming year.
Pat

Loving ALL of the quilts! They are all so pretty. I am thankful if I get 1 quilt done every “X” years…LOL. Give Rusty a hug for me!
Thanks Pat and I’ll give Rusty a hug from you!
Give yourself a pat on the back for getting so much done. Great Going!! You make me want to get more done as I only got a few done. My New Years goal is to get back into sewing more, even a little each day so I can fill the needs of all those I love and charities. Thanks for being there.
Thank you Sue, I really do love quilting!
Wow! You are something else! Congrats on your big accomplishment. You are an inspiration to me . Sandy

Wow! Congratulations on all you’ve done this year. All those quilts PLUS a move! That’s impressive! Wishing you a happy, healthy and productive New Year.
Thanks Michele, this is the first year without a move LOL, so I think that is why I was able to quilt so much!
