Happening in my Studio #6

I think Spring is here and I’ve been spending some time outside doing yard work and it feels so good to be outside. Rusty seems to prefer to stay in the house which surprises me.

I’ve been working on quilt projects but I won’t be able to share them for a while. I’ve also been at my computer working on quilt patterns. I am thankful that I finished my taxes early in the month as that is one last thing to think about.

Patchwork Rabbit

I have a storage room with many of my quilts and quilt projects and I went looking for my Patchwork Rabbit wall hanging to put out for Easter but I couldn’t find it. I think I may have given it to my daughter.

I really had fun making this and I might have to make another one.

Fabric Baskets

I always like putting out some Fabric Baskets with candy in them at Easter. When my granddaughters were little they loved getting them. I would always pick up small stuffed animals at the Dollar store.

Rainbow Table Toppers

Can you believe I made these cute Rainbow Table Toppers in 2012! This was back when I loved adding Cluny lace instead of binding.

Color Challenge

You still have a few days to add your green quilt block or quilt project to my Color Challenge before it ends. Yesterday I finished my quilt blocks for April and I’ll be sharing them soon.

March UFO Challenge

I am so happy to have completed another of my quilt UFOs. Honey Drift was made from quilt blocks that had been in my stash a long time. So far I have finished my UFOs from January, February, and March. I wonder which UFO Challenge will get picked for April.

Patchwork Cats

This is another quilt project that uses small scraps that are turned into a applique shape. Patchwork Cats was fun to make and I really should make this again or how about with dogs?

I love the cat and bunny wall quilts!
I am like Rusty. I prefer to stay in the house! I used to love yard work but it has been a chore the last couple of years. Last year, I had a knee replaced in July and had bursitis in my hip. I was really struggling before surgery and then had my recovery and still had hip pain so I missed a season of yard work. A neighbor was mowing my yard. My flower beds were mostly unattended. I thought things would be better this year. I have 2 beds cleaned up but need to get ambitious and get the rest of the beds and fence line cleaned. I have an oak tree that drops its leaves in the winter so everything I cleaned up from the maple trees in the fall is now full of oak leaves! UGH!
