Can you believe it is March already? I thought of Saint Patrick’s Day and picked green for the 2026 March Color of the Month.

March Color of the Month Challenge 2026
You can pick any shade of green and you can make any quilt block or quilt project – it doesn’t have to be the Churn Dash quilt block.

Green Churn Dash Block
Here are my green Churn Dash quilt blocks. I used a mixture of batiks and cotton quilting fabrics. I do this quite often. The white is a premium muslin.
You can download the PDF for the block.

6 Churn Dash Quilt Blocks
So far I have 6 Churn Dash Quilt blocks, January was teal, February was red and March is green.

String Table Runner
I thought I would share a few of my green quilt projects. This is my Green String Runner. You can find the tutorial in my library.

Most of these quilt fabrics are very old. I first blogged about this in 2012. Do any of you remember the floral print I used on the back? I used to buy this fabric by the bolt when I was doing craft shows. My grandson is 27 and it was before he was born!

Wintergreen Table Runner
I made the Wintergreen table runner back in 2018 as an Island Batik quilt project. There is a free tutorial for this also.

One More Green Table Runner
Hmm, I can find the blog post for this table runner. I think I made it when we lived in Maquoketa because I remember going to a quilt store with friends and buying that striped batik I used for the binding in several different colors.
I’m sure there is a post somewhere that I’ll have to try and find it.

Green is one of my favorite colors. Teal, turquoise, aqua, win out just a bit over green. March is birthday month for my family! 5 of the 7 of us born in March, and then so many other family and friends also in March. Celebrate!
I just love your pattens and now I. am looking for a table t topper or runner. Thanks.
I still have some of that fabric on your runner back in brown. I used the same print in blue to make a dress when I made garments back in the day! It’s a great print. Your churn dash blocks are going to be so fun when all put together.
So many pretty green projects. I love the color this month. Your churn Dash blocks all look so pretty.
