Fall Quilt Tutorials and a Fall Bouquet

Yesterday I did some shopping to pick up some backing fabrics for a couple of quilts I want to finish and I saw this beautiful fall bouquet. I knew it would be perfect for the photos I wanted for this blog post. I hope you enjoy seeing the bouquet in all of my photos. The table topper is my Modern 9 Patch and I’ll have a link to it below.

Sweet Rusty

Some of you have been asking about Rusty so I thought I would share this sweet photo of him. In November it will be 3 years since we adopted him and he will be 10 years old. We really love him.

Fall Gatherings Table Runner

This has continued to be one of my most popular fall table runners. See that cute sunflower? Would you believe that is a puzzle! I had a friend put it together for me as I got a little frustrated with it.

Holiday Table Topper

As an Island Batik ambassador I always have leftover batiks from my monthly challenges and it is fun to create other quilt projects. This quilt block was one I also used in a Christmas table runner.

Cluny Lace Table Topper

Would you believe I made this in 2011? I have an entire room of my quilt projects. Years ago I used to do craft shows and sell table toppers and runners with cluny lace around the edges. It is a very vintage look now. If it ever comes back in style…..I still have tons of this lace!

This has a pieced background which is a great way to use up scraps.

Modern 9 Patch Maple Leaves Tutorial

I made this several times, the first was in 2013 when I was doing a lot of quilt projects for Accuquilt.

Applique can be done many ways, one of my favorite ways is to just free-motion squiggles around like you can see below.

They’re all beautiful, so hard to pick just one……but will choose the Modern 9-patch as it seems so versatile.
    Hope your check-up goes well.
    Blessings to all!

  3. I love the 9-patch table toppers with the unique designs on the side blocks.

Rusty looks happy and healthy! His eyes are looking really good. Our last dog did not like having his picture taken.

I like all of them. Not sure if I like one more then the other one.
I have just started quilting about a year ago and my daughter has been sick so couldn’t sew to much because I was with her. Plan to start up again soon.

  5. Hi Connie:
I love all your table toppers but cactus flower is my favorite. Not to be outdone by Rusty who is the cutest; love that little smile on his face!

  6. My favorite are the maple leaf table toppers. Leaves falling really means autumn and cool weather. I love all the seasons for different reasons.
