When I was making Cactus Flower blocks, I made them in several sizes thought it would be fun to make a Cactus Flower Reversed mini table topper.

Placing four quilt blocks this way really draws your eye to the cactus flower.

Two Sizes of Cactus Flower

The first Cactus Flower table topper was made using 8-inch quilt blocks and is 16-inches square. This one is using 6-inch quilt blocks and is 12-inches square.

Which way do you like the Cactus Flower blocks arranged?

Small quilt projects like this are fun! It is a great way to use leftover scraps of fabric and batting. The batiks are from Island Batik and are the Fall Gatherings collection once again.

Back to work

I have been working on a large quilt that I’ll be sharing next week. I just need to sew down the binding. When that is done I’ll clean up my quilt studio and get ready to start something new!

Connie: Your patterns are all exquisite & the instructions for cutting, piecing & sewing are easy to follow. Thank you for sharing these patterns with us quilters!!

  2. I love the colors in this placemat! Great pattern too! Thanks for sharing! Terry 😊💕

  3. I think you may be confused a little bit Connie as Halloween was last night, October 31, not the night before. Love your reversed Cactus topper with the pattern set on the left on the table (with me looking at it.) Such a great idea for fall tables! Thanks for sharing. Your quilt studio certainly doesn’t look like it needs “cleaning,” at least not compared to mine! Hello to Rusty!

  4. Your patterns always amaze me! I printed this out, now lets see if I get this done before Christmas! Seems I won some WONDERFUL batiks just perfect for this!
    Thanks!

  5. I love all three of these designs and especially using the Fall Gatherings fabrics. These are beautiful fall colors and are very heart-warming.

  6. Very nice pattern, especially nice in the batiks
