Using the Creative Grids 6″ Log Cabin Trim Tool really made it fast and easy to make.

Be sure to visit the Fat Quarter Shop Jolly Jabber blog where you can find the link to the free pattern and also visit the other quilters that are taking part in the Quilt Along. The first Courthouse Steps blocks were made with Peach and Raspberry Bella solids.
You can really make perfect blocks when you use the 6″ Log Cabin Trim Tool by Creative Grids.
Can you see how I matched up the center square with Round 3 – this really helps you see if you are sewing with an exact 1/4″ seam allowance also.
I made another 4 blocks using the Caribbean and Lagoon Bella Solids.
If you’re just joining us now, you can find all the information and patterns from previous months on the Bella Skillbuilder Quilt Along page!
Fat Quarter Shop has a Bella Skill Builder kit available that includes the patterns and fabric for the top and binding. The quilt will be 66.5″ x 88.5″ which is a nice size.
