I cannot believe how fast the week has gone! I have really enjoyed seeing all of the beautiful quilt projects everyone has been shared with me. I can’t share them all at once so I’ll try and share five each week. Thank you for inspiring me to create more tutorials!
My projects this week
I’m still in that piecing mode – which means I don’t have a finished quilt project. I am working on the River Scraps block tutorial which evolved into me making some fun free printables. I have a couple I have finished and am working on one that will include quite a few sizes of blocks you’ll be able to make.
Small quilt blocks are perfect for many things but when I want a quilt done fast……large blocks are my friend!
Free Printables
Are you always looking for notepaper that you can use to keep track of how many quilt blocks you need or how much material you will need for a quilt project? You might like these! Print them out and then trim them or….keep them all on one sheet.
There are three different ones that you can download.

Sharing Quilt Projects #2
Okay, on with the sharing of some of your beautiful quilt projects made with my tutorials!
Affinity quilt block for a pillow
Lucie shared this beautiful batik pillow that she made using my Affinity quilt block tutorial. She calls it her Big Outside cushion as it is 24″ x 24″.
Fabric Baskets
I think many of you are just like me, you can never make too many fabric baskets! Rosemary shared this photo of some of the beautiful baskets she has made from my tutorial. This reminds me that I made some teeny tiny ones recently and forgot to share them!
If you are looking for a project to practice your free-motion quilting – these are perfect! Start with this fabric basket tutorial and make your own!
Chinese Forget Me Not
Maxine shared this beautiful Chinese Forget Me Not quilted wall hanging. Beautiful work! This has continued to be a popular tutorial. The background is made from a simple block and then you add the applique for a special touch.
Jewel table runner
Sue shared the beautiful table runner she made using my strip pieced Jewel Table Runner tutorial and enjoyed making it so much that she said she plans on making another one!
Hidden Wells
Chris shared this fantastic quilt that she made using the Hidden Wells tutorial and then adding creative borders and sashing to make it the size she needed for her bed. Beautiful!
Sharing Pets
All of you love seeing photos of Mr. Mickey and Miss Sadie and often I have received photos of your pets, I thought it would be fun to include one here.
Elizabeth from Tasmania, Australia sent me this precious photo of her dog, isn’t she the sweetest little thing!
