Monday Happenings 28 In My Studio

I have been working on a quilt that I’ll be sharing next week as part of the Timeless Traditions Blog Hop with Island Batik. I am using a beautiful new collection called Garden Gate and I can’t wait to share it with you.

Here is a little sneak peek of my quilt before I quilted it. Beautiful fabrics!

Rusty turns 10

We adopted Rusty 3 years ago around Thanksgiving and I always think of that as his birthday but I received an email from Rusty’s vet wishing him a happy birthday on the first. That is pretty special.

Everyone who meets him falls in love with him, he is so sweet.

Studio Cleanup

Over the weekend I took some time to clean up my studio and rearrange some things. This side of the room actually looks more like a cardmaking studio instead of a quilting studio.

When I don’t have a quilt on the longarm, it serves as a catch-all. I love my big studio, especially having a walkout so Rusty and I can sit outside and enjoy the fall weather.

Monarch Sofa Quilt

I thought I would share this cute sofa quilt that I made for Rusty. He loves this couch and then I made him some matching pillows. Doesn’t every dog deserve his own pillow?

I have all the blocks (30) made for a queen size Stacks quilt using Field of Flowers by Katherine Watson for Moda. Now’s the hard part in putting the blocks so they look the best before sewing together.
