I am working on a small quilt that would make a beautiful baby quilt or a lap quilt using the Ellie Favorites 5 piece fat quarter bundle.

Ellie Favorites

Missouri Star Quilt Company is having their Birthday Bash this month with lots of great deals. This is the Ellie Favorite bundle that is only $5!

Adding Fabrics

I added some fabric from my stash and I had a beautiful pastel pink yardage that I thought would really add a pop of color.

Quilt Blocks

I ended up using one additional fat quarter plus the pink for my quilt blocks.

Midnight Glow

I am using my Midnight Glow quilt tutorial and I decided to make this quilt a little bigger. There are 20 quilt blocks in it.

I did some more shopping today at Missouri Star and bought several more of the 5 fat quarter bundles for $5. If you make charity quilts this is a fantastic deal! I also bought several of the 10 piece bundles including one that I already have so I’ll have plenty of fabric for a quilt.

Two Quilt Projects

Does anyone else work on more than one quilt project at a time?

Nox Table Runner

My quilty friend Vicki from Vicki’s Crafts and Quilting made this beautiful table runner using my Nox table runner tutorial. Of course once I saw it I knew what I wanted to make with the leftover 2½-inch squares from all of my Fall Gatherings quilt projects! One more table runner coming soon!

Ready to Quilt

I have this quilt ready to quilt on my domestic vintage 15-91 Singer. I love using it for small quilt projects.

Taping the Backing

I use painter’s tape to secure the backing to my table before adding the batting and top. Today I’ll be quilting it.

  3. That is the cutest fabric, Connie! I like the pastel look in that quilt pattern. Happy quilting!

  4. Love your tutorials !

I’m trying to make some Christmas hangings but not sure how to finish them so that they can actually be hung on the wall. Do I put little tabs at the top? Or do I put a little sleeve to insert a rod from the back so I can hang it?

Haven’t searched hard enough but I’m sure you’ll have a solution! Thank you.

I bought the same fat quarter after seeing it on your blog! I have a new grandchild on the way so need to start planning on the baby quilt. Can’t wait to see your finished product!
