Charm Pack Cartwheel Quilt

I am taking part in Fat Quarter Shop’s Shortcut Quilt Series. Several of us quilters picked out fabrics and received them to create a Charm Pack Cartwheel quilt that will be shown on Fat Quarter Shop’s blog.

Quilt Blocks On Design Wall

I am using a portable design wall that isn’t quite wide enough but it works for now. I really miss my sliding design wall and we have talked about making one again.

Vintage Singer

I used my vintage 15-91 Singer sewing machine to piece and quilt my quilt. I love having a view outside while I am quilting.

Rusty approves of the quilt!

Rusty has become so good at getting his picture taken. I didn’t even have a chance to ask him to jump up, he did it on his own!

I think it is amazing how things appear so different. When I first saw the pattern with the large blue snowball, (I thought it was taking away from the pin wheels) I wasn’t really a fan but then when it was quilted with a border the same color, it made the snowball disappear and become the background. Then the pinwheels popped. LOVE it.

  2. Love the cartwheel quilt! I love seeing Rusty so happy! You have done wonders for him! 🥰♥️

  3. Love the pinwheels and the colors in your quilt. Great job and also Great job to Rusty with his big smile. I have never made a quilt, but this winter I ‘m going to try. I’m going to download the pattern.

    1. I meant to also tell you how beautiful your quilting is. I’m trying to learn some free motion and ruler work. I have done Edge to Edge with Embroidery machine. I’m not near as coordinated as you are with free motion. I so admire seeing your quilting skills.
