I am excited to announce that I am a 2025 Island Batik Ambassador! It felt so good to be back last year and I really look forward to sharing new quilt projects again every month using Island Batik fabrics!

Video Unboxing!

Please take a few minutes to watch my 2025 Island Batik Ambassador unboxing. Thank you!

2025 Island Batik Ambassador

As an ambassador for Island Batik, we receive several boxes each year with fabrics and other items from our sponsors. This is going to be another fun filled year! I just received my first box and I think you’ll enjoy seeing everything that is in it. I also did a video!

Forest Flora by Deb Tucker Studio 180 Design

For the February Blog Hop, I will be using Forest Flora by Deb Tucker Studio 180 Design and her Tucker Trimmer & Quilter’s Magic Wand tools to make a quilt. I also received two different 2 yard pieces of coordinating batiks.

Fall Flair Strip Set

Browns and blues are some of my favorite colors (I really like just about any) and this 2½ inch strip set is Fall Flair by Jerry Khiev for Inquiring Quilter. Once again I received two 2 yard coordinating batiks. Wouldn’t these be beautiful for a Jelly Roll quilt?

Aurifil Thread

I received 3 spools of 50wt Aurifil thread that will work great with my quilt projects. These large spools work great in my Featherweight and other sewing machines.

Stash Builders

It is always fun to receive Stash Builders! These are packages of 4 rolls of batiks that are 5 inch wide by the width of fabric with 4 strips in each roll. The total fabric is 2.8 yards. Be watching for my giveaway during next month’s blog hop.

Foundations, Blenders and Solid Batiks

I received a 6 yard piece of a neutral batik which I’ll use in my quilt projects. I used a neutral as the background in my Quarter Spin Quilt last August. I also received 1/2 yard pieces of foundations, blenders and solids.

Oliso M3Pro Project Iron

Look at this cute pistachio M3Pro Project iron! I can’t wait to use this! I also received a Small Carry Bag that would be great to use if going to a retreat or class.

Gradations Foundation Batiks

Gradations are so beautiful! I keep saying I’m going to do some applique flowers with them! This is the Opulent Orange 10 inch Stack.

I also received a 2½ inch Strip pack of Naturally Neutral. These are so much fun to use and last year I made my Flowing Meadow quilt using a fat quarter bundle of Naturally Neutral.

Schmetz Needles

I received 3 packages of Schmetz needles. I use the Universal needles and the Piecing & Quilting needles all the time. I have a vinyl project I’m going to work on and the package of Vinyl needles will be great to use.

Solid Color Batiks

I also received three 4 yard pieces of solid white, solid gray and solid black batiks. I’m glad to have more of these! Last year I made Breezy Mini Scattered using the gray, Vibrant Joy using the black and several quilts including Four Square Flight using the white.
