My Quilt Project
Have you been working on anything new this week? I have been making quilt blocks for a quilt planned for our bedroom using all of the batiks that I bought from Bluprint before it closed.
I am making 16 inch quilt blocks based on a design called Jewel Box.
I ended up buying four jelly rolls of 2½” strips, a fat quarter bundle and also some yardage so I could make sure I would have plenty of fabric as I will actually be making two identical quilts.
I am also using a group of neutral fabrics from a collection that I bought over a year ago. The colors are gold and silver and will work well in our bedroom.
I plan on making a couple of blocks each day in between other things I am working on. I have been cutting the block pieces with my Accuquilt GO! cutter and the 8-inch Qube set and then storing them on the small table by my sewing machine so they are ready to go. I’ll share a tutorial soon.
I have also been updating some tutorials and if you are looking for a fast and easy set of placemats for the summer, take a look at my Summer placemats tutorial.
Old Lady Printable
Many of you loved the old lady in the mirror saying and asked for a printable. I now have one taped to the mirror upstairs and each time I see it, I smile.
You can also download a lined notepaper with the same saying on it.
I decided to also make one with just a white background for anyone who prefers that.

Quilt projects shared with me
Here are a few quilt projects that have been shared with me. If you would like to share a photo of something you have made with one of my tutorials or patterns, please attach the photo to an email and send it to me.
Be sure to also check out the other shared quilt project posts that I have shown before, you will find links to them at the end of this post.
Rosalie shared this beautiful quilt that she made for her sister, it is a king size quilt and the backing fabric is a neat peacock print. She said her sister saw a picture of my Hopscotch quilt with Sadie on it and told her she wanted it. Rosalie thought she meant Sadie but it was the quilt her sister wanted. What an awesome gift Rosalie! Thank you for sharing!
Coastal Mist table runner
Anne created this beautiful table runner for her daughter made with my Coastal Mist table runner tutorial and her 8″ Accuquilt GO! Qube.
MaryAnn is making this awesome quilt using my Midnight Glow tutorial for the quilt and then adding a neat border!
Brick Road Pillow
Lynne made not one but four pillows using my Brick Road pillow tutorial!
Phyllis has made several quilts that are very similar to my Hidden Wells tutorial.
Christmas Tree table runner
Are you thinking about Christmas quilt projects yet? MaryAnn shared a table runner that she made using my Christmas Tree table runner tutorial.
Phyllis shared this adorable photo of Buddy, her Bishon Frese with a comment of “He isn’t spoiled, but his master is well trained.” I think a printable might be in order for that saying!
