It is time to share another post of quilt projects that I am working on and quilt projects made with my tutorials and patterns that others have shared with me.

My Quilt Project

Have you been working on anything new this week?

Jewel Box Blocks

I have been making quilt blocks for a quilt planned for our bedroom using all of the batiks that I bought from Bluprint before it closed.

I am making 16 inch quilt blocks based on a design called Jewel Box.

Working on batik quilt blocks

I ended up buying four jelly rolls of 2½” strips, a fat quarter bundle and also some yardage so I could make sure I would have plenty of fabric as I will actually be making two identical quilts.

Batiks

I am also using a group of neutral fabrics from a collection that I bought over a year ago. The colors are gold and silver and will work well in our bedroom.

I plan on making a couple of blocks each day in between other things I am working on. I have been cutting the block pieces with my Accuquilt GO! cutter and the 8-inch Qube set and then storing them on the small table by my sewing machine so they are ready to go. I’ll share a tutorial soon.

Summer Placemats

I have also been updating some tutorials and if you are looking for a fast and easy set of placemats for the summer, take a look at my Summer placemats tutorial.

Old Lady Printable

Many of you loved the old lady in the mirror saying and asked for a printable. I now have one taped to the mirror upstairs and each time I see it, I smile.

You can also download a lined notepaper with the same saying on it.

I decided to also make one with just a white background for anyone who prefers that.

Hopscotch Quilt

Rosalie shared this beautiful quilt that she made for her sister, it is a king size quilt and the backing fabric is a neat peacock print. She said her sister saw a picture of my Hopscotch quilt with Sadie on it and told her she wanted it. Rosalie thought she meant Sadie but it was the quilt her sister wanted. What an awesome gift Rosalie! Thank you for sharing!

Phyllis shared this adorable photo of Buddy, her Bishon Frese with a comment of “He isn’t spoiled, but his master is well trained.” I think a printable might be in order for that saying!
