Quilt Town meet Stacks

I wanted to make a fast and easy quilt so once again I picked my Stacks quilt. This worked well as I wanted to record how I swap the fabrics for the blocks. I made one blocks for the video and yesterday afternoon I made 15 more.

Greta 60mm

MSQC also sent me two of their new 60mm rotary cutter called Greta. She is big! On the left is Olga there 40mm rotary cutter.

Greta has a plastic film

I did not realize there was a plastic film on the blade. In the video I was having a little trouble cutting and I realized I hadn’t tightened the screw. I didn’t realize there was a film on it until later. I actually found out there was one on my 40mm cutter! It is very easy to take the rotary cutter apart.

Different sizes of rotary cutters

I have an assortment of rotary cutters.

  • Olfa 28mm – this is the cutter I have used for years, I have several and this one is marked “old” as I use it on paper
  • Olfa 45mm – I started using this one several years ago and it is now my go to cutter

  4. That’s such a great pattern for showing off fabrics. I say that every time I see a quilt finished. It’s a great fabric line too, especially those teals. I’ll bet that large cutter made the task quick. The cutters look so comfortable to hold and the color is beautiful.

Hope the new fridge works well. I can imagine the relief of not having to go to the garage. lol
