I can’t believe I pieced this Stacks table runner in March and have finally finished it!

Peach Stacks Table Runner

Table runners are always one of my favorite things to make. I love fast and easy quilt projects. I have actually had this pieced for a few weeks and finally quilted it on my vintage 15-91 Singer sewing machine.

Choosing the backing fabric

I had this neat peach fabric in my stash that I thought made a great backing for my table runner. I also used it for the binding.

Adjusting the length of the table runner

The Stacks table runner is actually 18.5″ x 46.5″ but I wanted to use just one width of the backing fabric so I just trimmed off the edges of the outside blocks. You can see here that the blocks are a little narrower.

I doubt that anyone would notice this or you could say it was part of the design. I cut my batting a little bigger than the top and quilted it.

When finished I turned the table runner to the backside and then cut off the front and batting to be the same size as the backing fabric.

The finished length of my table runner is 43″.

The first time I made the Stacks table runner it was in beautiful wine and pink batiks. This is still one of my favorite quilt patterns.

Peach Stacks Table Runner with Rusty

Little Rusty is feeling better and is able to do the stairs again. We also have taken one short walk and he doesn’t seem in any pain. He is on a diet and I almost think it bothers Bob and I more about not giving him treats.

He has lost 1 pound in a week.

Another pose

No photos outside as it is storming and Rusty is scared of the lightning and thunder.

Rusty is quite the poser, smiling in one pic and looking so sophisticated in the other. Glad he is slimming down and able to walk pain-free. We all love seeing him so much as we did Mr. Mickey.
