Adventurous Applique Blog Hop

Our Island Batik ambassador challenge for September is the Adventurous Applique blog hop and I’ll be sharing my quilt on September 5th.

I’ll be using the Twilight collection that I shared in my Island Batik Ambassador Unboxing in July. Here is a sneak peek at my Island Batik Challenge quilt that you’ll see on Thursday.

Pieceful Baskets

In my August Sew Sampler Quilt Box from Fat Quarter Shop, there was this quilt block pattern. This is a 17½-inch square quilt block and a new one is included in each quilt box this year.

This is only my second box and I decided to use fabrics that have been in my stash for a long time. I have misplaced my July pattern but once I find it, I’ll make it too.

YouTube Videos

My challenge lately has been to create some videos on YouTube. Boy has this been a challenge! I am much more comfortable taking photos and writing a tutorial or pattern.

So far I have mainly been doing Unboxing Videos which means I’ve been doing some shopping. This has been fun and it is always fun to add to my stash!

I would love it if you would check out my channel!

Bitsy

Pam shared a photo of her dog Bitsy, she looks so much like our little Sadie. When I showed this photo to Builder Bob he teared up as it reminded him of his little buddy. Sadie adored him.

Here was our little Sadie sitting on my Bowtie table topper. They really look alike!

  1. I think the River Scraps Quilt pattern is just what I needed to see to get going on using up some of my scraps. It is nice to do a simple quilt using what I have and get the satisfaction of a quick finished project. Thanks for the discount, too!

Our pets are always with us in our hearts.

  2. Whew! So much information! Love all the quilts and really need to get moving on mine so I can try some of these! Had a lazy summer but these are so inspirational! Love to Rusty, we remember Sadie as well, such a sweetie.

  4. Thank you for the pictures from other quilters- very inspirational.
Also appreciate seeing the Basket block from the Fat Qtr Sew Sampler. I signed up for this program because of you. I would have like the July one, but missed it, so was started with the August one you are showing now.
Many blessings for you and your family!
