It is my Monday Happenings 18 in my studio and I want to share what I’m working on. I hope you had a great week and were able to do some quilting.

Island Batik April Quilt

I just finished quilting my Drunkard’s Path quilt for my Island Batik ambassador project, now I just have to get the binding on and I’ll be ready to share it with you.

Gardening

For some reason I can’t get in the mood to work outside. We uncovered the outdoor furniture and put out the rugs yesterday so hopefully that will get me inspired.

Our raised beds have settled over the winter and we will have to add quite a bit of compost to them. I hope we have plenty of tomatoes and beans this years.

Rusty prefers lying inside even when the door is open.

A Tutorial from the Past

I have many free tutorials in my library and I thought it would be fun to start sharing one every week. You may be new or have forgotten about it. Would you believe I made these in 2017.

Rusty was sweet enough to pose for me.

Open Gate Quilt Box for April

I just received the April Open Gate Quilt Box and there were 2 fun quilt projects in it. Be sure and watch!

Strippy Spools

Next month I’ll be doing another QAL using the Strippy Spools quilt pattern with the Fat Quarter Shop and here are the beautiful fabrics I picked out. I am going to use the Berry Market Rolie Polie by Beverly McCullough and also some of her matching fabrics. This is going to be so cute and you should join me.

  1. Connie Just wanted to say Happy Birthday to you. I have done alot of your Patterns, been with you from the beginning. Thank You for all the projests you have sent my way. They are always so beautiful.

  2. Happy Birthday Connie.
I really like those Berry Market Rolie Polie. Green grass – well mine is a scrap of fake grass from the old U of A practice field. But it definitely looks better then dirt or gravel, and here in SW we have to watch the water usage. And so far our garden is growing – which my hubby planted a few weeks ago.

  3. Rusty looks so good on the green grass next to your beautiful placemats. I think it will be another month before we see green grass. Enjoy your nice, green lawn!!

  4. Those placemats are so pretty and really dress up the table so beautifully. Love the great fabrics that came in the box. As you said, cheerful! The grass is definitely looking nice and green. Hoping for another great garden for you this year.

Like Rusty, I would rather be inside and in my sewing room. I need to get ambitious because I have flower beds to finish cleaning up and it looks like I will be mowing soon too. I used to love gardening and yard work but every year, it is becoming more of a chore.
