Monday Happenings 12 In My Studio
I have several quilt projects finished but I don’t have the blog posts ready yet. My blue and yellow River Scraps quilt is finished and I’ll be sharing it soon. I also have a table runner finished.
Every once in a while I get inspired to make a bunch of different things at once! Do you ever do that?
Take a look at these beautiful placemats that Elaine is making with my Crazy Quilt placemats! They look great!

A New Experiment
Not too long ago I received another Scrap Bag from Green Fairy Quilts and I really like all the fabrics. I sewed them into sections of 4 strips, decided I didn’t like what I was making and now I’m going in a different direction. I also have a peach batik on one of my new Comic Book boards that will go perfectly with it.

February Blocks for the Vintage Christmas QAL
It is almost time to share 4 more quilt blocks for the Vintage Christmas QAL, if you missed my first 4, you can see them here and learn more about it and Fat Quarter Shop has the kit available again!

January Ginger Quilter
I am still having fun doing unboxings! I opened my first Ginger Quilter subscription box. You never know what you are going to get. This box had a quilt project making a banner using Ruby Star fabrics.
You can learn more about the box in my January Ginger Quilter unboxing video.

Creative Notions & Giveaway
Another first is the Creative Notions subscription box. This is a bi-monthly box and the projects are so cute! I had to make the mini one right away! Notice the flanged border, how cute! I clipped the wall hanging to the wire holder with some of my Wonder Clips this worked great. The funny thing is that a little bit before that I went on Amazon and found some black curtain clips that I think will work. They are supposed to be here tomorrow. I’ll let you know.

Here is a peek at the back of the little quilt. I used my 15-91 vintage Singer sewing machine to do it.

Giveaway on YouTube
You’ll want to stop by my YouTube channel to watch my Creative Notions unboxing, the first quilt project and…….learn about my giveaway!

That’s a very pretty runner you put under your t v, neat idea. At first I saw flying geese, then saw they were the house tops. I’d use the fabrics to make a table runner, to finish sooner. Thanks for all your ideas & videos.
I love the little Valentine wall hanging & the hanger! Info on those would be much appreciated! I think they came in one of your gift boxes! Always fun seeing your emails! Thanks Terry 🩷😊
You do amazing sewing and I love seeing all of your quilts. Rusty is very cute too!
Connie…..your scrap fabrics from Green Fairy quilts was timely. I have a batik blue and green fat quarter package that needed a project and I found a pattern called Hidden Wells on Pinterest. Have made a sample block and it’s going to be perfect for this fabric–it uses 2-1/2″ strips. Just thought I’d pass that on to you as a suggestion–and I’ll send you a photo of the block if you tell me how to do that. Thanks.
Kathy
That little wall hanging is just adorable, Connie! Love letters!! Great for Valentine’s. I really love those fabrics that were in your scrap bag and look forward to seeing what you decide on the finish. Have a great week.
Thanks Brenda, that Scrap Bag was one of the best I have received!
Oh my – so many fun box options these days. That mini quilt is especially adorable!!
I agree Sara and there is never enough time to make everything!
