I had planned to work on my 2017 Goals and Resolution post but……..fabric got in the way. Yesterday I did my 2017 UFO Challenge post and shared a photo of the last UFO I pulled out. Last night I couldn’t stop looking at it and I kept thinking I’ll just make one block…..okay, one more block.
By the time I was ready for bed last night I had all of the blocks made for this UFO.
This morning I wanted to take some photos. Notice my cutting table is in the way? Builder Bob put wheels on the bottom of it and I can move it around my studio.
My design wall is also a sliding wall that hides shelves with all kinds of fabrics and quilting stuff.
I decided not to add the borders as they are the wrong size and am going with the twin size which uses 24 blocks. I only had 12 made when I put this away last year……or the year before.
See how I was able to move my table and wall so I could see the whole quilt. I love my sliding design wall.
Just now as I was getting ready to write this post (since I haven’t even started on goals and resolutions) I looked at the pattern for Rainbow’s End by Judy Martin and realized that now……I am only one block short of what is needed for the queen size plus I would have to add to my borders.
I can’t decide what I want to do so I’m going to put this away until #1 on the 2017 UFO Challenge is picked!
On the American Patchwork & Quilting Facebook group, it was announced that the UFO for January will be #6.
So get your list done! I am lucking out as that is my easiest UFO. #6 is the kitchen set and all I have to do is quilt two place mats. That is a good thing as I have several blog hops and things going on in January.
Yesterday I had to get some photos of my newest quilt for Island Batik.
I couldn’t resist sharing a sneak preview of it as it is beautiful and I had fun going down by the river to take pictures.
We have no snow right now but it sounds like we will get it next week. In the afternoon I packed up the quilt and pattern covers and sent it off to Island Batik. It always feels so good to finish something like this.
