Me & My Sister Fabrics

I decided to use the Rainy Day Jelly Roll by Me & My Sister Designs for Moda Fabrics for my Jelly Roll Railway quilt. I have made many different quilt projects using their colorful, fun collections which are perfect for baby quilts.

Opening a Jelly Roll

I don’t know about you, but it is so darn hard for me to open up a jelly roll for the first time. Did you notice the neat measuring tape ribbon that is on this collection!

One Easy Block

I have been super busy lately but the Jelly Roll Railway quilt pattern is so simple to make! Just one easy block.

I decided to make a small crib quilt and when I got it all pieced and ready to quilt…….I had to wait a bit as someone decided it would be nice to take a nap on it. Notice Sadie still hasn’t gotten a haircut.

Once it was all quilted I had fun taking photos outside in the garden.

  1. I have had only a few jelly rolls and each one sits undisturbed for a very long time! It is hard to bust them open. What a fun quilt and design. We all are in need of making a simple quilt once in a while!!

  2. Fun and cheerful fabrics that have worked themselves into a great quilt…of course with your help! Sadie is so adogable even without her haircut. Lovely Weekend Dear…<3

  3. I think Sadie wants to be the “baby” that gets this quilt. 🙂 I love jelly roll quilts so I’m off to check this one out. Yours is so cute.

  4. That’s a fun pattern. I like your little quilt tester too! 😉

Hi Connie, I love the small quilt. I have a baby (9th) Great Grand Child born this week. How do I cut it down for that size and what size did it come out to? This will be so fun! By the way, my Gina has her haircut because it is already very hot in CA. She has gotten kind of big too. She weighs 15 lbs. now. Believe me they look just alike. I think you said Sadie was 8 lbs. Thanks for any help. I did watch the video.

Hello Connie! This is a magnificent quilt! You are so right about the fabrics Rainy Day by Me and my Sister, they are brilliant. I so love these type of fabrics because of the bright and cheery feeling they produce (in my opinion). This pattern is also a great decision choice for the fabrics or vice versa. Thank you for sharing everything about this quilt, I will definitely be making this quilt several times. Actually, I have a friend coming over for the weekend for a great time of sewing fun, I am going to show her this quilt and see if she wants to make one with me for our Project Linus Guild meeting. Have a great day!

  8. It turned out so beautiful! Each one was so different. I love how easy and fast this pattern is!
