Songbird Crazy Quilt Placemats
Today I’m taking part in a blog hop featuring Jennifer’s new signature fabric collection Songbird with Island Batik, Lumin Fabrics, designed by Jerry Khiev.

Songbird Collection
The batiks in this collection are beautiful, you’ll find birds, foliage and flowers in the fabrics. Thank you Jennifer for asking me to participate in your blog hopl!

Crazy Quilt Placemats
I picked 6 of the fabrics and remade my Crazy Quilt Placemats, I think this is the third or fourth time I have made them.
It is so much fun to choose 6 fat quarters and combine them, it is always a surprise when they are completed.

Fun To Make
I recently redid the pattern for the Crazy Quilt placemats and if you have purchased it before, be sure and download a new copy.
In the pattern I give you diagram directions to draw on a piece of freezer paper. Here you can see my stacks of the sections.

Make 6 at a Time
Here is a look at each of the finished placemats.

13″ x 17″ Finished Placemats
The finished size of the placemats is 13″ x 17″. You can actually make them a little bigger and of course you can make them smaller.
We use placemats all the time and I’m not careful washing them. They get thrown in with dish towels and other kitchen items and even go in the dryer….on hot. Eventually these will shrink which is fine with me. Most of the time it is just two of eating.

Connie, another great batik collection. Your placemats are lovely. I am the same about placemats, use them all the time, wash them with all the kitchen stuff. I like having pretty ones on the table. Thanks for sharing your project. Niki
Love your placemats!! Such a beautiful collection!
Pretty colors- very cheerful. I have your crazy patch pattern & it looks great with these or any fabrics. The pattern would be nice in Christmas fabrics and maybe add a small holly applique.
Those are beautiful fabrics and your placemats turned out so nicely. They set such a pretty table.
These are really cute, Connie! Thank you so much for participating in the Songbird blog hop.
