Snappy Pouch
Have you ever made a Snappy Pouch? Years ago I made snappy pouches using metal tape measures. You had to use tin snips to cut the metal tape and then cover the ends with duct tape.

Snappy Pouches
Missouri Star Quilt Company now has a pattern and flexible bands to use. These are fast and easy to make.
MSQ gifted me the pattern and a package of the flexible Snappy Bands. The package of 12 bands is enough to make 6 pouches. I also received both items in my 2025 Advent box that I purchased.
I have made 4 different pouches so far.

Adding the Snappy Bands
When I made my Stacks quilt with the Quilt Town fabric from MSQ, I saved the selvages and sewed them together to make a piece of fabric. I pulled it out and was able to make 2 Snappy pouches with it.
This year the Quilt Town collection has different fabrics but is just as cute.
Here I am adding the bands to the pouch, the pattern is easy to make. The lining fabric folds to the right side of the pouch which is where you slip the band into.

I really like how these turned out.

Quilted Snappy Pouch
This was the first snappy pouch I made. I quilted the right side of the pouch with just the batting behind it.

Batik Snappy Pouch
In my next blog post, I’ll show you how I made the batik Snappy pouch.

cute pouches. No zippers
Looking forward to playing with the pattern and getting the snap bands from MQ
I’ve seen these and even had one (daughter took it with her!) LOVE THEM. Thanks for the info. I think these will be great for gifts! Thanks again!
I still use my snappy pouches. I love the idea of precut metal bands. I really like how you used the selvedge edges.
I went over to IT and followed you! Cute pattern.
Good afternoon,
I just read your article and I make snappy bags and sell them at the bazaars I got to. I have two of them coming up this fall, so I ordered some of the items to put in the bags to make them snap. This would be so much easier and safer then what I am using. thanks for sharing this with us. I am excited to use them.
I have purchased and downloaded free patterns from your website. Going to try the apple mug rug
