It is time to share a few of the beautiful quilt projects made with my tutorials and patterns that you have shared with me. I always enjoy seeing them and feel free to email me a photo anytime.
My quilt projects
I never know what I will find on the shelves of past quilt projects upstairs. I found a small single block that was made into a table topper and searched for the post and then saw a photo of a table runner I made with that block but I couldn’t find it.
I decided to make the table runner again (then I found the original one) and I’ll be sharing that tutorial with you soon. A small shop in our town is now open and I purchased this beautiful vase and flowers that will go in our guest bathroom.
I haven’t been able to decide what I wanted to use as a quilt pattern for all of the batiks that I purchased last month but I think this block will be part of the quilt. I am using my AccuQuilt cutter and dies to cut the pieces.
I have started sewing together the quilt pieces and hope to piece a couple of blocks today. It was really warm upstairs in my quilt room and if I turn on the fan….quilt pieces fly all over the place!
I didn’t think I would still be using the upstairs this summer. Our weather has been hot and humid. Our HVAC guy was just here and closed the main floor registers to about half while leaving the upstairs ones open. Then he turned our air down about 2 degrees and told me to keep the door to the upstairs closed. Hopefully, this will help.
Quilt projects shared with me
Scattered quilt
Nancy shared her beautiful quilt made with my Scattered pattern that she made for her niece’s first baby. She used the Elle collection by Whistler Studios with a dark gray sashing.
Fabric Basket
Bea shared the cute little fabric basket that she made. We have been friends for years, she has mentioned many times that she planned on making a basket but was always busy with other quilt projects on her website BeaQuilter. Check out my fabric basket tutorial.
Suzanne also shared many of the fabric baskets that she has been making.
Scrappy Butterfly
Linda shared her colorful quilt made with my Scrappy Butterfly baby quilt tutorial. This will really make a precious gift!
Crystal Swirls
Brenda shared the beautiful quilt that she made with my Crystal Swirls quilt pattern. It is always so much fun to see what a quilt pattern looks like done in different colors!
Check out many other quilt projects that have been shared with me.
Kids and pets
My granddaughters have been coming over this week and we have been doing crafts so not much quilting for me but I always enjoy spending time with them.
I placed a cheap plastic tablecloth on one side of my cutting table so my granddaughter could paint while I worked on cutting out quilt blocks on the other side of the table.
They also brought over their dog Velma who still is a fireball! She wants to play with Mr. Mickey or Miss Sadie but they want no part of her. In fact, both of them get stressed out. Mr. Mickey jumped up in the chair looking for my granddaughter to rescue him. Everything looks calm in this photo but it only lasted for a moment. Hopefully, as Velma gets a little older they will all get along.

Great deals for you
I want to share some of the sites that I personally like visiting for the quilting and craft things I buy.

Love all the pictures. The “Scattered” is a must for another Eye Spy, and the “Crystal Swirls” is so summery and beachy, I didn’t recognise it at first – as the Chinese – “Same, same – but different.” I am always looking for organizers and how did I miss the beauty of the boxes. Currently using old food containers (yogurt, sour cream, etc.) The boxes will be perfect. Might make an extra for my coffee cup!
Looks like you had some fun with the kids!
