Denim & Daisies Jolly Bar

The Denim & Daisies fabrics are beautiful! This is a Jolly Bar and the pieces are 5″ x 10″ with 40 pieces. This is half of a layer cake. There was also two quilt patterns included. A beautiful pattern called Reflections and another called Summer Getaway. I am making a quilt using a pattern that I was able to download. I also received a small spool of 50wt Aurifil thread in the color Light Sand. There is also a finishing kit for the Reflections quilt.

Blue & Orange Collection

Here is a better look at the beautiful fabrics in the Denim & Daisy fabrics from Fig Tree Quilts. I really like the combination of blues and oranges.

Creative Grids 5½ x 5½ Ruler

Creative Grids rulers are some of my favorites and I have quite a few of them. I was surprised to look through mine and realize I didn’t have the 5½” x 5½” Creative Grids square ruler. This will be great for squaring up some 5½” x 5½” quilt blocks.

Clover Hot Ruler

The Clover Mini Hot Ruler which is a limited edition for Fat Quarter Shop is a great addition to my stash. I have a metal ruler that I use and can iron over but I am looking forward to try this one.

Save this for later!

Short Cut Jolly Bar Pattern

I scanned the QR code in my box and downloaded the Short Cut Jolly Bar Bakewell quilt pattern which is a Fat Quarter Shop exclusive. I thought it would be fun to make this quilt.

Cutting The Pieces

The patterns uses squares and rectangles. Once I cut all the pieces I still had a good amount of fabric left so maybe I’ll be able to add a border.

Quilt Blocks

Last night I started making the quilt blocks. I don’t do my best sewing at night and after having to use my seam ripper several times….I decided to quit for the night. I can’t wait to make more of the quilt blocks today!

  1. LOVE LOVE LOVE THE COLORS! Blue skies and autumn nights! Colors are turning here, tree across the street is lime green and orange when the sunset hits it! I need to make a quilt that color! Thanks!
