Ruby Flower Table Runners

I finished up the binding on my Red Ruby table runners. This one will be for me as I like small runners. The size is 12 x 24 inches. I just used a red print that I had in my stash for years.

Ruby Flower Table Runners

This table runner is 12 x 36 and will probably be a gift.

I did a tutorial on the blocks that I made using Ruby by Bonnie & Camille for Moda. I used 1 charm pack plus some white muslin for all 6 blocks. If you haven’t seen it be sure and take a peek.

3 different floral runners

6 blocks would make a perfect size for a baby quilt….of course, the flowers would have to go the other direction 🙂 I would probably add a border to make it a little wider too.

A close-up of the flowers done with free motion applique. I used dark green thread for the stems and leaves.

Save this for later!

I'll email you this post so you can come back to it later.

Don't worry, I promise not to spam you.

This particular block is the one I talked about in my tutorial – I didn’t pay attention to the fabrics I was picking. I prefer the corner snowball blocks to have better contrast.

Would you believe I still have one more charm pack of Ruby……I may just make a baby quilt from it but not for a bit. I am feeling the need to just piece, piece, piece!

I have seen several paper piecing blocks lately that I just love and I really need to sit down and concentrate on how to do that. I have seen some great tutorials on several blogs lately.

Don’t forget to look at the tutorial for the Red Ruby Floral Mini Runner.

Hope you enjoy the movie. My DH is boycotting (his word) our local theatre. He thinks they charge too much for tickets and popcorn. We haven't been to a movie in a long while. But all my friends who say "Hunger Games" said it was amazing.
