River Swirls is a beautiful quilt pattern that is a traditional quilt block with some applique flowers added to it for a new look.

The quilt uses the Triangle in a Square block and I have included a template in the pattern for you to use.

I actually used my AccuQuilt electronic die cutter and the #55027 – 3″ Triangle in a Square die which makes fast work of cutting out the pieces. You can also use the Tri-Rec templates if you have them. I used the Island Batik Splash collection.

The quilt measures 56″ x 56″ but could easily be made bigger. The pattern features full-color diagrams and includes full size applique flowers.

It won’t be long before we will have snow and ice along the river.Quilts made with Island Batik fabrics by Connie Kresin CampbellOur weather has still been beautiful, how about yours? We went to the cities yesterday and finally bought a new table for our kitchen. It is a small square one and…..I need to make new placemats. I’ll share them when I do!
