Quilt block Painted Window

Yesterday the 30 Quilt Blocks in 30 Days blog hop started at Creatin’ in the Sticks. Carla designed all of the blocks that will be shown in various quilt projects. I thought I would share a little sneak peek at my quilt project that I’ll be sharing on April 11th.

You’ll find the complete schedule with the dates, each blog and the block that they will be creating a project with a little further down in this blog post.

I have also been working on several projects. I mentioned the other day that I would write up the pattern for my Amber Geese wall hanging and of course I had to remake it. As long as I was doing that I decided to make it with bigger blocks. I’m really liking this!

I am working on getting it all quilted. I almost had it done last night and then found a pleat in the back that I had to stop and remove some stitching. Thankfully it wasn’t a big area. I also have 2 other quilt projects that are laying on my cutting table ready to be quilted.Blue Batik Quilt being quilted

I have several blog hops coming up with all kinds of neat quilt projects.

April 16th I’ll be sharing a quilt I made using Kelly Young’s new book Stash Statement.Stash Statement BookHere is a peek at my quilt, Kelly’s books shows many fast and easy ways to make quilts out of your scraps.

I’m also working on a table runner for the X-Block blog hop in May hosted by Sew Incredibly Crazy.Basic X quilt block

I have a few other things I’m working on but I’ll save those for later, I had better finish my free-motion quilting and then work on some patterns. I have to admit it is a lot more fun to just piece and quilt. Enjoy your day and be sure and stop back tomorrow for Linky Tuesday and share what you are working on.

  1. I need to get started on some of the later projects! I have my April 30 block quilts done, but should start on the May one…haven’t even planned later ones 😉

Hello Connie; It sounds like you are having a lot of fun creating a lot of quilts for a variety of Blog Hops. It is always fun to create when you have a goal, of course, occasionally it is fun just to play and create also. Have fun is always my motto! I always enjoy seeing what you are doing and very often dig into your old posts and see what treasures you created in the past. Have a great day!

Terrific group of projects coming down the pike! I too am doing the Xblock hop – fortunately with a finished quilt.

  4. Wow, Connie! You have so many projects in the works. Love the Amber Geese wall hanging!

  5. I really like your Bigger Blue Geese! -Jean 💟

    1. You have so many enticing projects you are working on. I am in awe of you. I see QALs that I’d love to do but I just don’t make quilts that fast. If I push myself and the pattern is easy I can get it done in a couple of month, hopefully. I just have to be content with who I am as a quilter. I can live vicariously through you and your wonderful quilts.
