Visiting our friends home in the country

We had a wonderful weekend staying with our friends that we used to live by……..really makes me miss living in the country. I took this photo standing in front of their house looking up their beautiful driveway.

We just relaxed out on the patio all day as the weather was absolutely beautiful, sunny but not too hot and perfect for a jacket at night. Of course we had to have a fire.

Visiting our friends home in the country patio he built

Builder Bob helped a little on building this gazebo about 8 years ago, it has a hot tub in it and an awesome sound system so you can listen to music even out on the patio.

What a beautiful place for a weekend getaway!

The guys spent the day smoking all kinds of different meats and even hard-boiled eggs!

Would you believe this smoker was made by our friend? He even built their huge back patio himself.

Hickory nuts on the ground

They have several hickory trees that shade the patio……..and drop nuts all over it. They have to clean off the patio daily at this time of year. Of course I had to pick up a bunch of them.

After relaxing all weekend I am ready to get quilting……..today I’ll be busy quilting the Nyan Cat quilt and hopefully will share some pictures with you on Wednesday, don’t forget Linky Party Tuesday will start at midnight tonight.
