I really enjoy sharing my Monday Happenings 16 in my Studio so you can see what I’m working on.
It must be Spring here in Iowa, our ducks showed up again! We haven’t seen them since fall. They didn’t stay long and I didn’t get a photo but you can see them in this post.
Patchwork Braids Peek
On Wednesday I am taking part in the Patchwork Braids blog hop on Instagram. I’ll also be writing a blog post and so will Kate Colleran. This will also be my Island Batik challenge “It’s All Up To You” for March.
This is a little peek at what I’ll be sharing, Kate’s book Patchwork Braids 13 Quick & Easy Quilted Projects is wonderful!

Stacks Table Runner
I had a question about making a table runner with my Stacks quilt pattern so I thought I would make another table runner and show you how it looks when you are only using 3 fat quarters.
It is easiest to cut the pieces as shown in the pattern and then just arrange the pieces as you like. Yes, some fabrics will end up next to the same fabric as you can see here. You could also cut more fabrics and make several table runners at once to get a little variety.
What do you think? I just love these Spring colors!

Here are the blocks before I sewed them together.

Quilt Town Stacks
There is still time to enter my giveaway on YouTube for the new Greta 60mm cutter. I just have to put the binding on my Stacks quilt and I’ll be done. I love shopping my stash and found the perfect fabric to use as my binding.

Card Making
I am still having fun making cards and I have made quite a few. Yes, I’m having fun.
One of my favorite places to shop is Scrapbook.com. You always get something free when you place an order, I love that!

And More Card Making
Some of them are for birthdays or other occasions but most of them are blank and I’ll finish them when I am ready to send them to someone. Anytime I have a giveaway someone will receive one.

Bamboo Shelves
I received several emails asking about my new bamboo shelves. I am very happy with them and they are very sturdy. There is a strap for each one that can be hooked to the wall to keep the shelves from falling over but I usually put heavy things on the bottom shelves. Actually as I’m looking at the photos, my fat quarters on the top are pretty heavy.
I am using the 2 top shelves and the bottom shelf for my fabrics and the other 3 for paper craft supplies.

Notice that the doors are closed? LOL, I did that for the photos, I think that is the first time I have ever closed the door to the utility room.

Rusty
I can’t share a studio post without Rusty! I think he was a little disappointed that he didn’t have a quilt to lay on.

LOL Rusty definitely has a disappointed look, Connie! He is so stinkin’ cute and funny! You’ve really been busy card making. I love all the cards you’ve created! You’re getting me in the mood to make some! I look forward to seeing your braid project. Have a great week.
I love the Quilt Town fabrics and the ease in making your pattern into a beautiful quilt.
Your works are all beautiful. Your newsletter is a joy to read and so are your photos. Thank you for a lovely newsletter. 😊💕
I love watching your quilt videos. And, of course, Rusty’s involvement! I’ve made several quilted table runners from your collection of tutorials. My friends LOVED them. Thanks again. I am already subscribed to Missouri Star Quilt. Thanks.
Becky
love the ease and great explanation of the quilt pattern and would enjoy trying Greta!
Please enter me in the quilting giveaway! Love the fabric! I am already subscribed to Missouri Star.
I’ve done the Braid pattern on a table runner also, and it is a fun project to work with. Also making a bedspread with the braid in the center in three rows – very pretty that way.
The Stacks looks a lot like the “9 Fat quarter” pattern which I loved doing – you show that it is a very adaptable pattern — you’ve given me a lot of insight! Thanks
Thanks Addie, I really enjoyed making the braids. I would want to do bigger ones for a big quilt.
Those shelves look really nice. Your fabric storage always looks so well organized. Mine definitely is not. LOL
The Stacker blocks work great in each of the projects, large and small.
Thanks Sara, I think I love organizing as much as quilting!
