I shared a photo of the wall hanging I just finished making in my Sharing Post and quite a few people emailed me asking about the pattern. The Misty quilt project in 3 variations is now in my shop.

Misty

I first made a wall hanging using Island Batik fabrics when I was an ambassador but never got around to writing the pattern. That seems to happen a lot to me. Someone saw the old post and asked about it so I pulled out some fabrics that are perfect for Christmas and made it again.

The Christmas table topper has no borders and is made from squares and half-square triangles. I used a combination of batiks and regular quilt fabrics.

3 Different Ways to make Misty

I used larger pieces to make a wall hanging that is 28½ x 28½. You’ll find both sizes in the pattern along with rotary cutting directions and also directions for using AccuQuilt dies.

AccuQuilt Directions Included

I really like using my AccuQuilt cutter and dies to cut half-square triangles and have directions included for cutting the squares and HSTs.

Rotary Cutting Directions

You’ll find full-color diagrams to walk you through each step in the pattern with rotary cutting directions. There are actually 3 different patterns so you can print out just the one you want to make.

7 Page Pattern

You’ll get the cover, 5 pages of directions, and also a black & white drawing that you can color.

I had several people ask about the bar over my sewing machine in my last post. Here is the photo. It is the Daylight Slimline 3 LED table lamp that I just love. It has really made a difference for me.

I also like using some quilting notions that help with my work.

I definitely need the Misty quilt pattern for my “Connie Collection”. It is cute and versatile and within the scope of my abilities. Blues and purples are my favourite colours, so I’ll check my stash. I am also fortunate to have a patchwork fabric retailer less than 10 minutes’ drive from my home.
Thanks, Connie for sharing this lovely design.
It’s great to see Rusty looking so happy as he poses with your quilts.
