I am so excited to be a Missouri Star Quilt Co Partner for July! Last month all of the Island Batik ambassadors were invited to become a partner with Missouri Star Quilt Company.

Missouri Star Quilt Co 1st Grand Opening

I have shopped at Missouri Star Quilt Company since they first started selling their daily deals and I also visited Hamilton, Missouri for their FIRST grand opening in 2012. Look at that! Not a single grey hair and no glasses!

At that time they only had one shop and now they have 17! I want to make a trip there again.

What I Picked Out This Month

It is just like Christmas when I get a box from Missouri Star Quilt Company!

I actually purchased the Quilt Town fat quarter bundle and yardage to match. I want to make a quilt with big pieces to show off the fabrics so I think I will use my Stacks quilt pattern.

You can use my link to MSQC and then search for Quilt Town and you’ll find all the fabrics in this collection.

Most of the fabrics have this cute selvage and I am thinking about making a tote with them!

Summertime From Island Batik

This fat quarter bundle kept showing up in ads so I just had to buy it. This is Summertime from Island Batik, this just makes me think of a summer picnic!

Neutral Foundations From Island Batik

You can never have too many neutral batiks and this is a collection that is always available. This is Neutral Foundations from Island Batik, you can find them by clicking this link and searching for Island Batik fat quarters.

Breezy Charm Pack From Island Batik

Breezy is another Island Batik collection and I picked up the 5 inch squares. This is a great way to get a complete collection.

Clover Quilting Pins

I have been using the same pins for years and lately I noticed it was getting harder to push some through my fabric and also some were bending. I guess when you have had pins for 30 years they get old! These are Clover fine quilting pins and I’ll be using them soon.

Fabric Glue Sticks

Later this year we have an applique quilt project we’ll be working on so I picked up some Aleene’s Temporary Fabric Glue Sticks. Some quilters also use them to hold their binding in place before stitching.

Embroidery US Travel Map

This was a surprise sent from Missouri Star Quilt Co., it is a map of the United States and you are supposed to do some embroidery on the states you have visited. I think it might be fun to applique fabric to the states.

  1. I did chuckle at you mentioning christmas Connie. I had the bright idea of making some new summer patchwork cushions and here we are half way through July with none of them finished. They will get finished one day !!! I love seeing all the things you make and your garden looks great. Mine has been battered with heavy rain and wind, but at least the tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers are doing well in the greenhouse. Best wishes.

    1. Thanks Stella, I actually have a Christmas tree skirt that never got finished last year, hopefully I’ll get it done before the holidays! We are getting tomatoes but something happened to our beans and they are done already.

Hi Connie, I just watch your July unboxing. I think you do great.
1 ?, where do you fine all the time to make quilts. You write patterns, make gorgeous quilts, garden, photo shoot your quilts. Take care of that amazing dog Rusty. Do emails and now you tube, and your house always look spotless, what’s your secret?

    1. Thanks Linda and my secret is that Builder Bob does all the cooking! That gives me lots of free time. I actually made potato salad yesterday and lost 2 hours of quilting time!
