Several people said they would love to see the Mini Dresden Table Runner in yellows so guess what I did? I made it again!

Red or Yellow?
Now I’m not sure which one I like the best, the yellow does make me think of summer and sweet corn!

Dresden in Red
If you missed my red Mini Dresden table runner, you can find it here.

Jelly Roll Ruler Mini Dresden
I have included a template for the Dresden blades but I still think it is faster and easier using the Jelly Roll Ruler Mini Dresden ruler that made it very easy to cut out the pieces. This ruler fits perfectly on a 2½-inch strip of fabric.

Sunflower
Can you see adding a stem and some leaves for a sunflower? What a cute wall hanging that would be. I might add that to my quilt projects.

Table Runner or Wall Hanging
I really like that this can be used as a table runner or a wall hanging. Once again I used some of my Island Batik fabrics for this quilt project. I hope you like it.

You can find the Mini Dresden Quilt pattern PDF in my Shopify store or at Etsy.

I really like both the red and yellow. Think the yellow is a little bit more to my liking. While looking through my stash, I was amazed that I have the exact yellow fabrics that you used. Very unusual for sure. I set them aside to make the Dresden blocks. They are one of my favorite patterns.
Hello Connie, 24th Feb. 2026 here where I live, Rockingham, WESTERN AUSTRALIA, on the coast of a lovely beach, the temperature is hot, tomorrow will be 37c. I prefer the warm weather, the cold is awful, all I want to do is get warm in bed. That means no sewing is done and the UFO start to pile up. I wanted to say, I like the yellow table runner, I love the sunflowers, with their lovely faces following the sun.
Thank you Helena, living on the coast of a lovely beach is perfect for hot weather. Our cold would feel awful to you I’m sure.
These are so cute! Would love to see a video of how you do your top quilting on your machine.
Thanks Beverly, hopefully one of these days I will.
I love both! Red & yellow! In fact, I love dresdens! 👍🏻😃♥️
Thanks Terry!
Love both of the color choices, Would also look good as scrappy. I believe I “burned out” with sewing/quilting/embroidering over the holidays so have taken a respite. I have been working on UFO’s but with yarn, crocheting, finishing projects & using some of my yarn “over-stock”. I’m hoping to start on sewing projects soon, after going through my “stuff” and re-organizing. Maybe Spring will inspire me!
I think scrappy would be great also. I understand burnout and then switching what to work on. Enjoy
I love the yellow one! It’s such a happy color and does make me think of summer.

So bright and cheerful! Love this.
I love the yellow pattern. It’s so cheerful. When you walk into the kitchen & the first thing you see is the beautiful bright yellow table runner that should start your day with a smile.
Sorry about the 6″ snowfall. Here on the eastern shore of Wi. we only got a trace. No shoveling, yea!J
Thanks Judie, it definitely brightens up the kitchen! We have actually only had 3 snowfalls this year, I love it when everything is white outside.
I love this mini Dresden pattern. I can be made longer for a larger table by just adding another block. I think I will make them for different seasons and give them as gifts.
I look forward to your newsletter. It always has something that perks my interest.
I made six throw quilts and several table runners for Christmas gifts (for family) last year so I am planning on smaller projects this year. Your table runners and wall hangings will be my inspiration.
Thanks Terri, of course you could make it as long as you like. I am also seeing a quilt with each block being a different color…maybe I should make it for my color challenge!
