Island Batik Ambassador for 2019
This post may contain affiliate links which won’t change your price but will share a commission.I am tickled and proud to announce that I am an Island Batik Ambassador for 2019! I have been an ambassador for them since 2014 and it has been so much fun to receive boxes of beautiful fabrics and goodies twice a year. The products featured in this post were given to me by Island Batik. Thank you Island Batik!
You can see all of the boxes that I have received since I became an Island Batik ambassador and other information on my Island Batik Ambassador page. I’ll be updating this soon.
It is always so much fun when boxes like these show up! I was actually out of town babysitting my grandchildren when mine came and I had to wait several days before I could open them. This was also the same time that we found a house in the same town and put an offer on it. Can’t wait to move!
Each year there are more and more ambassadors added, I believe we are up to 50 this year! Each of us receives a box of batiks and other goodies twice a year. There is always Aurifil thread that coordinates with our surprise bundle of fabrics that we don’t share until closer to Quilt Market.
You can get a hint as to the colors in my surprise bundle as you also receive a bundle of coordinating basics. My batiks are blue and yellow. We also receive some rayon fabric and a beautiful scarf. It is just like Christmas when a box like this comes!
Last year we started receiving batting from Hobbs and this year…..we get to try all different types of their battings! You can find a great assortment of Hobbs battings on sale right now at Connecting Threads.
Something new this year is that AccuQuilt has teamed up with Island Batik and each ambassador received the AccuQuilt Ready, Set, GO! Ultimate Fabric Cutting system which includes the 8″ Qube set and 2½” strip die. The ambassadors will be sharing all kinds of quilt projects using the 8″ Qube set.
I have worked with AccuQuilt for several years and have all of the Qube sets so I got to pick a few dies that I didn’t already have. I picked the 3½” Tumber AccuQuilt GO! die and the GO! Equilateral Triangles (3/4”, 1¼” 2¼” Finished Sides)
Were you wondering what the Bullseye dies were? I also have an AccuQuilt Studio 2 cutter and these are Bullseye Nested sets. I chose the Hexagons and Triangles and can’t wait to try them out!

A BIG CONGRATULATIONS to you for becoming a 2019 Island Batik Ambassador!!! I’m not surprised though. You make so many nice things with all the goodies you receive from them. They should be proud to have you on their team.
I hope you stay warm and get all packed up and moved when the time comes to do so. Congratulations again and God Bless you and your family.
How nice that you are an Ambassador! I absolutely passionately LOVE batiks!
Best wishes on the new home and the move – a lotta work, but certain that you will have help and help-some-more when it comes time to pack and un-pack! Keep the dialogue comin’……

And of course seeing your fabulous creations!
Congrats again on another year as an ambassador Connie! I wondered if you would get more dies instead of the machine, since you had one already. Looking forward to all you create.
I love that blue and yellow, it is going to make a fantastic …table runner? Just a little hint will do, I can;t wait.
These boxes are fantastic – again! Do the bullsey only work on the studio cutter? They look like an interesting concept.
2019 is going to be a great year, isn’t it? I can’t wait to see what you make.
Enjoy playing with your new goodies.

Hello Connie, Another fantastic year in creating with all of those brilliant fabrics to choose from! Plus, I always appreciate knowing what your opinions are when working with any type of product and the batting is one I have been seriously considering trying. Your new dies are ones I have not seen. Of course, I have not looked in awhile either. LOL. I can not wait to see what you create and what your thoughts are on all of these new dies! Thank you so much for sharing, Connie. Have a marvelous day!
