Colorful Snails AccuQuilt GO! Baby Quilt
This post may contain affiliate links which won’t change your price but will share a commission.I finished up a baby quilt using the beautiful Full Bloom batiks from Island Batik and the Snail’s Trail die from AccuQuilt.
I have enjoyed taking part in the GO! BIG blog hop and I hope you have also enjoyed seeing what everyone has worked on with the new GO! BIG electric cutter. I chose 6 different color of the Full Bloom line and the GO! BIG easily cut them.
If you missed my original blog hop post just click here to see my Downtown Abby quilt. I still can’t say enough good things about this die…….
I then cut 6 layers of muslin for the light fabric in my blocks.
Within a couple minutes…..I had all the pieces cut out!
Save this for later!
Don't worry, I promise not to spam you.
Sewing the blocks together was very easy.
Getting a little bigger…..
bigger……
and finished! The blocks will finish at 12 inches.
I used Glide thread and a 90 needle for the quilting. I didn’t quilt the batik sections…..I’m still trying to decide if I should or not. I also used the Full Bloom batik for the binding.
All the bright color is just great.
Oh, Connie, what a striking quilt! It really grabs the old attention.
What a pretty quilt! One of my favorite patterns, and the fabric is gorgeous!
Love those colorful snails!
I love the colors!
I love making blocks that grow like that. Beautiful looking snails. 🙂
Turned out really nice and colorful! Love your color choices. 🙂
Love this baby quilt and your photos do show how easy this die is making the process. I just finished a large quilt using Eleanor Burns' version (Pigtail has a square instead of 4-patch in center). And I will admit that the cutting sure didn't go this quickly.
Beautiful quilt!
Great post!. Love the snails. I am seriously going to talk to Santa about a Big Go! 🙂
Love it! awesome quilting too
Seeing your posts about Accuquilt always make me sit up and pay attention so thanks! I am still dreaming/thinking of one after I trim my UFO Collection. Love these blocks.
Beautiful colors in your Snail Trail.
I love it!!! Those fabrics are fabulous in that pattern.
