Beautiful Fabrics for Quilting Fat Quarter Bundles
I am sure I’m not the only quilter that has a hard time opening a beautiful fat quarter bundle of fabrics. Last week I purchased the neat bundle of 40 fat quarters of Little Ruby by Bonnie & Camille for Moda. Look at the beautiful ribbons that holds the bundle together! This was one of the Fat Quarter Shop Fat Quarter Bundles.
I have no idea what I’m going to make with them but……I have a feeling it will be a quilt for our bed.
Did you notice the other bundle of fat quarter fabrics? Do you recognize the collection? I have gently “aged” this fat quarter bundle….it is 3 Sisters Favorites 2014. I keep waiting and waiting to open the bundle….after I figure out what I want to make. Tell me I’m not the only one who does this!A couple weeks ago I bought the Boundless Botanical fat quarter bundle and blogged about it……having great plans to make another colorway pillow with them…..it hasn’t happened yet. I even mentioned I might be buying more of the Boundless collection and I did!
This is the Boundless Botanical Rainbow fat quarter bundle. This bundle actually has the colors I would prefer to make in my pillow.
Now that you have looked at all of the beautiful fat quarter bundles I’ll show what I am actually working on right now. This month the Island Batik ambassadors are sharing any project that has applique in it. Yesterday I pulled out my beautiful Island Batik Coastal Mist 2 ½” strips and some yardage and started creating a little something.
I’ll be sharing this project soon!

Your project looks interesting can’t wait to see what it is. I have such a hard time opening up a fat quarter bundle also. I know once I open it I will never be able to put it back together the way it was and they are so pretty when they are all together.
Connie
It sure sounds like a lot of us just enjoy looking at all of the beautiful fabrics! I agree that you can never put it back together so that it looks the same…..guess that means we should use them.
bea
drooling over your bundles, I dug into a small bundle yesterday….dig into yours!!
Connie
I will Bea! It seems like I buy them and then I have another project come up and……don’t work with them. I’m sure you can relate to that!

You are not alone, Connie, I have a few rolls and bundles that I bought cuz I like them. I’ll figure it out later what I want to make. However it is very hard to open and seperate them!! We just love pretties, LOL
Connie
I have a feeling that are many, many of us quilters who just love to look at their beautiful fabrics Vicki!
Sherry
I have no fabulous fabric bundles like you have (yes I am a tad green with envy) but I cannot even open my tiny little charm pack I have. Why am I saving iit for who knows what? Your sneak peak Isand Batik project is in my favorite peacock colors. Happy Fabrics Bliss Dear <3
Connie
LOL, we’ll have to open them together Sherry!

I’m also guilty of holding on to bundles way longer than I should. But I did just start using a 30s bundle when I began the Farm Girl Vintage quilt blocks. It was time, and I’ve enjoyed using them.
Sharon
So many lovely FQ packs! That Boundless Botanical looks scrumptious!

Not sure what those little applique guys are but they sure look cute.

Connie
LOL, I am so glad to hear that I’m not the only one who can’t open them!
