I made up my Country Birds pattern again using some more beautiful batiks. These rich teal colors are part of the new Running Water group from Island Batik that I showed you.
I can’t decide if I like the wall hanging better in brown or in teal.
I hung the small quilts outside yesterday and then patiently waited for the sun to go down so my pictures wouldn’t be so washed out…….I almost forgot them!
I finally got a picture that lets you see the background fabric better. This has been a hard quilt to photograph and really show how beautiful the fabrics are. This quilt was in Island Batik’s booth at Quilt Market and stores can order the pattern and fabrics for kits from Island Batik.
This is my first pattern with Island Batik; I have another one that I’ll show soon and will be designing several more quilts and patterns for Island Batik which will show at Spring Market.

Island Batik found a great designer when they found you. Love both of these and wouldn't be able to pick a favorite because I love blues but the brown one reminds me so much of Autumn which is my favorite season.

Oh my how nice they both are! It is amazing how doing the same pattern in two different colors changes the quilts looks completely. I like the blue a little better, but I am partial to blue. 🙂

I like both colourways, but I adore the bright depth in the brown version. What a rich variation in colour.
