Crystal Table Topper Tutorial

Today I have a tutorial for a beautiful table topper made with Island Batik fabrics and the AccuQuilt GO! Qube to share with you. This small quilt looked neat out on our deck.

I am guesting posting on AccuQuilt’s blog sharing another fun project made using the AccuQuilt GO! Qube 12″.

The fabrics I used are batiks from the Crystal Cove collection by Island Batik.

This is the same collection that I used for my Crystal Cove Caravan wall hanging.

If you would like to make this table topper and don’t have the AccuQuilt
GO! Qube 12, I have included templates that you can use to make it.

Click here to download them and then follow the directions. It is definitely fast and easier to use the dies!

I was a little challenged when I started making the parallelogram sections…….silly me.

Follow this diagram to piece the blocks.

I did a simple meandering with Aurifil thread in a pale blue color on my vintage 15-91 Singer sewing machine.

I am really having a lot of fun using the Qube in its handy self-contained storage system. I recently bought some higher Ikea storage systems and I really like the height for my GO! Big Electric Fabric Cutter.

Materials Needed:
I used batiks from the Island Batik  Crystal Cove collection. I made four 12 inch blocks for our table topper.

Thank you for the templates Connie. I don't have an Accuquilt 'though I can't say I've never been tempted. I love batiks, they just work for me, I especially like the caravan wall hanging, such beautiful colours.

Pretty table topper, Connie. Createology is right … the link to the featured post doesn't work and I tried it from both locations in your post.

Beautiful Island Batik fabrics Table topper. The link to your featured post didn't work for me…it went to Accuquilt but said the page couldn't be found. Is it me? Thank you for sharing your templates. Embracing Creative Batik Bliss…
