Coral Reef Swirls Mini Quilt

For my Coral Reef Swirls I used a stamp set which is 5 inch squares of Coral Reef, a cream batik background, my Sizzix Big Shot.
The colors are so bright and vibrant and I thought it would be fun to make a table topper for my granddaughters to have in their bedroom. I think they will get a kick out of this!
I did a free motion straight stitch around the swirls in matching thread and then did a simple meandering on the cream blocks.
The size of my mini quilt is 18″ x 18″. It would have made a cute pillow too.
Remember that Island Batik also has a store locator on their blog to help you find their batiks. Joan, from MooseStash Quilting recently showed her Mini Madness project and also shared that Hancock’s of Paducah is having a sale on Island Batik fabrics, you might want to check that out……I did!
