I was getting ready to do a quilting post and when I looked through my photos I realized I hadn’t shared the Halloween pictures.

I’ll put up a quilting post later today……for now…….take a look at the Walking Dead Prom Queen and Wolf Girl. That other little girl……..creepy…….she talked!

Halloween with Walking Dead Prom Queen and Wolf Girl

My daughter and her husband go all out for Halloween, there isn’t a inch of their house that isn’t decorated. I goofed and didn’t get a full picture of the front of their house but…….the yard was full of scary things! This is the side yard.

Inside the house is just as scary…look what they put on one of my Halloween table runners!

Everyone dresses up! My daughter’s neighborhood is so much fun at Halloween and this year the weather was beautiful so most people sat out on their porches handing out candy. I got to take the girls Trick or Treating while their parents scared kids and handed out treats.

I missed getting a picture of my son-in-law but he posted one on FB that I grabbed. He would just stand very still and then move when someone came close…..he was creepy!

My daughter did a great job with the makeup on the girls. It was so nice that they didn’t have to wear actual masks. Here is a scary wolf girl!

The Walking Dead Prom Queen – she was quite the little actress….everyone got a kick out of her.

Like I said…..the house was really decorated for Halloween!

Halloween Devil

They are big fans of the Walking Dead series……me too!

I had no idea what show this is from…..or if it was just a scary decoration.

Halloween Pumpkin head

I easily got my 10,000 steps in that night! I love big, old houses – the woman at this house was dressed up as Little Bo Peep and she asked the girls to keep an eye out for her sheep while they were trick or treating. We really had a great time!

  1. Whoa! You are right, they really go all out with decorating the house. The whole family looked quite incredible, Connie! How amazing!!

Thanks so much for linking up this fun post on Wandering Camera! Loved it 🙂

  2. What a fun post Connie. I just love seeing the parents wanting to share in the fun with their children. I did alot of decorating myself when my boys were younger, but I did not get all dressed up and inside the house was just minimally decorated for Halloween. Christmas, however was a different story altogether as inside and outside are/used to be fully decorated everywhere.

Anyway, those children will have amazing and fun memories when they get older. I’m sure at least one, if not more will carry on the tradition shown to them during their younger years too which your daughter will absolutely adore when she gets older. One of my boys followed many of the holiday traditions I showed them from my younger years, another half way carried them forward although when he’s married, I think he’ll do them also. The other, eh. Halloween full on like your daughters yard. It’s so much fun to see when your children get older which of the traditions they carry forward to teach their own children.

So? Did she learn these amazing Halloween decorating skills from you when she was younger too? 🙂

  3. What fun pictures! We went to a party Friday night, and it was fun to see the creative costumes. There were several from Walking Dead. FUN!!!

  4. OMGosh….that is a scary house – the kind I would have passed up on Halloween. It is nice to have a fun neighborhood like that. We only had 6 little goblins show up at our house (other than all of the grandchildren).

  5. Oh what fun!! Great memories being created and savoured through your pictures.

  6. You should submit the picture of the Walking Dead Prom Queen to The Talking Dead fan art website. Maybe they’ll show it on TV!

  7. Those girls will have such great memories of Halloween being a FUN family activity. I loved to dress up in costume when I was in the classroom and my HS kids seemed to enjoy it when the teachers had fun with it. My girls made me quit dressing scary for handing out candy at home the year I scared a little kid and made her cry. I must admit that I don’t get quite as involved with decorating inside and out how that my kids are grown and gone. If my grandkids were close enough them I probably would do it again.

    1. I agree Sara! My daughter’s house was so scary….there were many little kids that were too afraid to get candy, thankfully their parents walked them up. I love taking the kids out trick or treating!

  8. Fabulous costumes and makeup! Your girls are still adorable even in scare mode. Wonderful homes on that street. I haven’t been trick or treating in decades. Just like your daughter mine goes all out and has an epic themed party each year. This year it was “Scary Clown Evil Carnevil. This is the only time I am glad I live 500 miles from her. I hate scary and she does it so well. I like cute and adorable.

    1. Oh my gosh Scary Clown…..I hate clowns….always have been scared of them! We actually saw one person dressed as a clown trick or treating an then went to a house where they were all dressed up and….there was a clown. Ugh!
