Last December I designed the Sunshine Table Runner that is in the May issue of Modern Quilts Unlimited. Notice the Christmas tree in the corner……I have had to patiently wait to be able to share this with you.

Being an ambassador for Island Batik and a monthly guest blogger for AccuQuilt has really given me lots of opportunities to create all kinds of beautiful quilt projects and I am very thankful for that.

It is so much fun to open a quilt magazine and see a project that I have designed!

My table runner was made using the AccuQuilt GO! Qube Mix & Match 12″ Block set and Island Batik fabrics but directions are also included for rotary cutting and full-size templates are included.

Sunshine table runner or bed runner on bed


Aren’t the batiks beautiful! I used Aurifil thread and just did a wavy free motion quilting on my vintage Singer sewing machine.

I had forgotten that I took this photo of the runner on our king size bed. The table runner is 23 ½” x 59 ½” and could easily be used as a bed runner on a smaller bed.

This is probably the most “modern design that I have made so far, do you like modern quilt designs? I really had fun making it.

  7. Congratulations, Connie. It is really lovely. I find that I am doing more and more modern quilting in the last few years. I think it is the clean lines look that draws me to them.

    1. Thanks Lori, yes there are directions and templates for making this table runner if you don’t have the AccuQuilt die cutter and dies.
