The River Floods

Woke up this morning to see that the river had come up some. Time to move my Jeep, the water behind it is only a couple inches deep but it has now been moved to dry ground.
You can’t really tell by looking but our drive is probably a foot higher than the water. The projections will have the water just getting on our drive.

Our neighbor isn’t as lucky. He has over 2 foot of water in his garage/basement which is his first level. His house is down about 4 houses but sits lower than ours. He had everything removed before the water got in.
Flooding doesn’t bother everyone……..the pelicans float down the river. Notice the log behind them?
Looking good on that river and I hope they are right about the crest not inundating you! Glad your neighbor got his stuff out before the water came in. This is one of the negatives of living on the water and it really looks like you are prepared for it! Stay safe and dry!!!
Wow. VERY nice sale judging by those prices you've shown. And right now I'm happy that I don't own this machine too. I spend enough money I shouldn't spend so this saves me money. LOL

Ack. Getting closer. Good thing the water didn't come up while sleeping so you could get that Jeep moved in time. I still have my fingers crossed that you'll be spared any water damage to your home Connie.
Yes, I hope it has crested, too. This is the 'unfun' part of living by the river but it sounds like you are well prepared and know what to expect. That's half the battle.
Yes, I'd say it is time to move the Jeep!!! I hope it won't be coming up any higher.
Do hope this is 'crest' – having been thru flooding I understand the terror of it.
