Nyan Cat Tote

Here was the original piece that I made…..at the time I had no idea what I wanted to make. It grew too big for a mug rug, too square for a place mat. Hmmmm what should I make?? Then I decided a tote bag might be cute!
This is the back of the Nyan Cat tote, I just started piecing the batiks together until I got a size I was happy with. Have you noticed this seems to be a pattern with me…..no idea where I’m going to end up but having fun with the process.
Here is a photo of my third Nyan Cat quilt. Our weather was too yucky to take it outside and I didn’t want to get it dirty.

I have made each Nyan Cat quilt just a little bit different from the one before it. I really enjoy the quilting on all of the blocks. This one is done in batiks just like the one I did for the creator of Nyan Cat, more on that quilt here.

So what did I put in the tote???? How about the Nyan Cat quilt! Yesterday I packed it all up and shipped it to its new home.
