My Enchanted Garden
This post may contain affiliate links which won’t change your price but will share a commission. My Enchanted Garden – Applique in Cotton and Wool by Gretchen Gibbons was sent to me by Martingale Publishing to review. If you love applique then this is a book you would really enjoy. All of the designs are made with cotton or wool, Gretchen also gives information on felting your own wool. She also shows how to make the embroidery stitches she used. Need to make a light box, she will show you how.
Information on colors and amounts of fabric is given individually for each block along with info on what type of embroidery stitches were used. Look at that cute squirrel and deer!
You will find not only the quilt pattern but also eight other stand-alone projects including Garden Jewels.
The patterns do need to be enlarged but there is a link included so you can download full-size patterns.
Run Rabbit Run pillow is adorable and you know how I love pillows!!
The peacock is also shown made into a purse and has the directions included.
Twin Beauties – these are wonderful with all the birds and the scalloped edge.
My Enchanted Garden: Appliqué Quilts in Cotton and Wool is also available on Amazon.
Did you know if you buy a quilt book fromMartingale you also get a e-book when you order a print version. I prefer print versions of books but a e-book is nice so you can print the appliques with your printer.
