Our weather has been great for November but it sounds like cold weather is coming soon. I hope to put up our outside Christmas decorations today before it gets too cold.

Monday Happenings 29 In My Studio

My Monday Happenings 29 In My Studio have been busy. I’m working on several quilts for 2026 and I won’t be showing them to you for quite some time. After I finished piecing the second quilt I decided I needed some play time.

I had so much fun and made quite a few quilt projects in just a couple of days.

I just finished the tree wall hanging this morning. The first thing I made was the tablerunner, then I had an extra block and made the table topper. The scraps became mug rugs and then I experiments making cathedral window blocks (it has been years since I made them).

Tutorials Coming Soon!

I am going to share tutorials on each of these quilt projects as they are all fast and easy things to make. The fabrics I used are batiks from Island Batik. The collection is Rustic Riches and I made this beautiful quilt with them for a Island Batik ambassador project.

Which One First

I think the first tutorial will be the table topper. I have two different ways to make the block. I should really make this again in Holiday colors.

2026 Quilt Calendar

Several people have asked about the 2026 Quilt Calendar and I have it ready to be uploaded to my website. Hopefully tomorrow I’ll get that done. In the meantime you can download the January 2026 Quilt calendar here.

UFOs in 2026

Do you have different quilt projects that you haven’t finished? I have some and also things like projects that were in my Sew Sampler boxes that I haven’t even started but want to make.

Years ago I used to join with others and make a list of twelve quilt projects to finish in the coming year. I haven’t don’t this in a long time but I think it would be fun to do in 2026.

Would you like to join me? Toward the end of December I’ll share what I would like to work on and then in January randomly choose one to work on that month.
