Today I am sharing my Layers of Charm quilt top. I have a very good reason for not getting it quilted…..I couldn’t find the Bright Sun layer cake until yesterday.

Moving from one room to another means things disappear and things you forgot you have…..reappear! Thank goodness this was a fast and easy pattern to make!

I used a neat layer cake called Bright Sun by Sherri & Chelsi.

If you have been following my blog at all then you know we are working on a new quilt studio. It is amazing the things you don’t notice at first. I stuck up an old design wall to use temporarily and when I went to take a photo of my quilt…..there was a pole in the way.

Now that pole is 6 feet away from the way and I never thought it would be in the way. Across the room is another empty wall I was thinking of using but…..there is another pole 6 feet away on one side. I’ll keep you posted as to where the design wall goes. The carpeting should be in today and…..I can start moving in!

The guys did a great job laying the carpet. We have to do some running in the morning and pick up the trim. Then we’ll come home and prime and paint it. I’m going to start moving some things in but keep them away from the walls.

  1. I can fully understand how you might have temporarily misplaced your layer cake during your move. But what you created is absolutely beautiful. Total #CreativeGoodness. And your new sewing room is coming together. You'll soon be stitching away in a cheerful sewing room, that is well organized and large enough to comfortably move around.
