Kona AccuQuilt Table Topper

Today is Day Three of the Wake Up to Kona Blog hop.
I am so excited to be sharing my projects with you. A big thank you to Carol and Madame Samm for all your hard work!

I decided to use my Kona solids to make a table topper as I think you can never have too many of them and this one really makes me think of Spring!

Kona table topper at Freemotion by the River

This glass mason jar that Bob bought me a few years ago and looks perfect sitting in the center.

I did a lot of free motion stitching around the flower petals and pebbles in the center.

I used my AccuQuilt Go Baby to cut the 3″ HSTs for the background piece….

Accuquilt HST die

and I also used it to cut the flower petals using the Flower Power die.

Since I had the Accuquilt dies out I decided to cut a few birds using my Birds die and stick them on a couple branches. It made  a cute pillow. I can’t show you the back because….I decided to use a batik on the back instead of a Kona solid.

I just cut bias strips for the branches.

I think it is always fun to see what a project looks like before it is quilted….quite a bit different.
