June 2026 UFO

It is time for the June 2026 UFO challenge, I can’t believe we are already to June, this year is just flying by!

My May UFO

My UFO for May was a group of 6-inch wide Christmas fabrics that I wasn’t sure what I would do with. Last week I finally decided to make granny square blocks with them.

I cut the 6-inch strips into 3-inch strips and then sub cut that into 3-inch squares. I added a red batik for the centers, I often mix batiks and regular quilting fabrics.

I have a Granny Square tutorial for blocks that are half this size.

A Quilt Top

Over the weekend I finished putting the granny squares together with sashing but I didn’t get it quilted.

Binding

I had enough fabric that I could have made the quilt a little bigger but I decided I wanted to use some of the fabrics for the binding. I hope to get it quilted this month.

UFO #9

I made a quick little video showing which number was picked for June. I was really tickled with the number that was picked.

My June 2026 challenge is not my original #9 — which was hand sewing a sleeve holder onto two quilts — too easy and I completed a few months ago. This top has been in my que for awhile, so not a part of the drawing this month, but to keep my momentum going.

Do we have a linky party for this month’s UFO? (June)

  3. Connie, I am happy that Orange is the color this month. I have just made a Dresden wreath which is to be part of a bed sized quilt. My

  4. The Granny quilt turned out so cute. I think you’d be good using that other than Christmas. My dogs are a lot like Rusty. What? A bunny? Where???? Don’t see it! lol
