Island Batik Ambassador 2nd Shipment!

Being a Island Batik ambassador is so much fun and I just received another shipment of things to use this year!

If you missed my first unboxing, read my 2025 Island Batik Ambassador post. I will also be updating my Island Batik Ambassador page for 2025. This page on my site has links all the way back to the beginning of my time as an ambassador.

Island Batik also included more fabric! I received a 10-inch Stack of Bright Tidings from their Winter 2024 collections and two coordinating fabrics. Both are 2 yard pieces and one is a light and one is a dark. Bright Tidings is a Signature Collection by Jerry Khiev for Terry Vanden Bosch of Lizard Creek Quilting.

Hobbs Batting

Hobbs Batting is very generous and supplies us with enough batting to make all of our Island Batik quilt projects. We get a variety of batting and this is a great way to try out different battings. Here are the battings I received.

This is the brochure from Hobbs Batting. It is nice because you get to touch a sample of each of the different types of batting they have. You can also visit their website to learn about the different battings.

Hobbs Simply Stuffing

I will be making another stuffed animal this year and Hobbs Batting has supplied us with the Simply Stuffing. Our June event is with Funky Friends Factory and I’ll be making a snake. This should be fun.

Accuquilt Irish Chain Die

Accuquilt is one of our sponsors and we received their new Irish Chain die. This is a BOB which means Block On Board. It makes a 10-inch finished quilt block and the nice thing about this die is it can be used in even the GO! me die cutter. I can’t wait to use this!

I always enjoy using my Accuquilt Go! cutter and dies. Yes, I have a good collection of them!

Deb Tucker’s Tucker Trimmer I

Deb Tucker’s Studio 180 Design is another sponsor and I received the Tucker Trimmer I and also the Quilter’s Magic Wand. The Tucker Trimmer is designed to help easily trim half square triangle squares, quarter square triangle squares and other combinations.

Deb Tucker also includes very detailed instructions for using all of her rulers.

I prefer to make my half square triangle blocks oversized so this will be interesting to use. I have used the Quilter’s Magic Wand before and it is a great ruler to have in your stash.
