Do you ever buy something just because it is so beautiful and you are doubtful you’ll ever make it? I bought Enchanted Christmas & Ingrid’s Wildflowers Embroidery kits and I am terrible at embroidery!

Enchanted Christmas & Ingrid’s Wildflowers Embroidery

I have always loved metal tins and these are beautiful!

I purchased both of them from Missouri Star Quilt Company and the Enchanted Christmas was the first one. When I bought it I received a kit with all of the fabrics to make a quilt (I show them in my video).

Christmas Keepsake

Here is a better look at the Enchanted Christmas Keepsake Embroidery Kit.

If it says “KEEPSAKE” does that mean it is okay to never use it? LOL

Look at the beautiful threads and the way everything fits in the tin. It also includes scissors and needles.

I now have a variety of beautiful threads as each tin has different colors. I wonder if I made all the designs if there would still be thread left.

Look at the Notions!

Oh my gosh, the notions are so neat! Look at the cute cardinal and bee, I’m not sure how you use them.

I believe the designs are printed on water soluble paper/fabric and there is a chart for each one. On the back are the directions on how to do the stitches.

Save this for later!

I'll email you this post so you can come back to it later.

Don't worry, I promise not to spam you.

Back of the Tins

The back of the tins show everything that is inside. Missouri Star Quilt Co still has the embroidery kits available, just search for “Embroidery” and you’ll find them.

My Wool

Remember I mentioned that I have bought a lot of wool and kits – just because they are beautiful and I “think” I’m going to make them. Here are to totes with them inside. Maybe I should do a video or post showing what is inside all of the containers under my cutting table.

I actually did make a wool wall hanging using AccuQuilt snowmen dies! I have to put that out for the holidays.

  1. Go for it! The designs are quite forgiving. I bought Ingrid’s Wildflowers and it is my current travel project. I’m making it using a chambray, rather than the denim, as I think it will be better for us. I do have one little issue with the kit. There are instructions for making each of the stitches, but each block is just a color drawing. It’s very difficult to tell which color to use on some of the design, so I’m going with the color I think will look best. Have fun!

  2. They are pretty! My guess is that the cardinal and bee are needle minders. They should be magnetic, and you put them on your handwork or embroidery project when you stop for the day. You can just lay your threaded (or not) needle on their surface and it’s ready to pick up where right you left off, whenever you’re ready to restart. They usually sell for about $10-$11 each, and there are many different motifs. I think Lori Holt has put out quite a few. Enjoy!! Merry Christmas 🎄

  3. I like cross stitch on reprinted fabric as I’m no good at the counted ones.
We have nothing like those kits in new Zealand.
To buy them from the States it twice the price in money.
They look lovely but the stitches look hard to do.
I can do some stitches but must admit they look out of my league.
I’m learning different crochet patterns at the moment so thank goodness for u tube.
You really do have to try one. Maybe the Xmas one and post it so we can see.
It could become a coaster or if you do them all it could be made into a quilt.
    Love your videos.

  4. Oh my gosh….those are really beautiful. It looks like you’d have leftover threads. Guess you’ll have to stitch them so we can find out. 😂

  5. I have bought fabric because it was beautiful. I had seen these embroidery kits, but didn’t want to get into another craft with all the “to do” projects already on hand.

  6. I bought the Enchanted Christmas kit too! I have to learn to embroider but excited to get started.

  7. The cardinal and bee (besides being cute) are needle minders and are magnetic. It helps you keep track of where your needle is.

  8. They really are pretty, Connie. I know I would never do them and I’m totally out of space to store things …. so …. not for me. Enjoy!

  9. I bought Ingrid’s Wildflower kit too. So pretty. Tempted to buy the Christmas embroidery. Happy stitching!

  10. Beautiful kits
It will be hard deciding which one to start first.
