Sheer Bliss Hopscotch Baby Quilt
I decided to use my Hopscotch quilt pattern to make a baby quilt. This is a fast and easy quilt pattern.
Sheer Bliss by White Owl Textiles Lumin Fabrics
Back in April I shared a peek at this fat quarter bundle I received from Missouri Star Quilt Co. to make a quilt. These beautiful fabrics are from Lumin Fabrics. I picked out the fat quarter bundle of Sheer Bliss curated by White Owl Textiles and additional yardage from the collection and Missouri Star Quilt Co.
44″ x 44″ Baby Quilt
A 44″ x 44″ quilt is a good size for a baby quilt, I really like how the blue fabric just pops.
You can always add wider borders if you prefer a bigger quilt. Tomorrow I’ll share the same baby quilt with a different accent color and a few more quilt blocks added.
Sheer Bliss Fat Quarter Bundle
I used a fat quarter bundle of the Sheer Bliss fabrics. My pattern calls for a jelly roll but fat quarters also work. There are 20 fat quarters in this fundamentals bundle from White Owl Textiles. Beautiful pastel colors.
Vintage Singer Sewing Machine
I still do almost all of my quilting on my vintage 15-91 Singer sewing machine. It is in a cabinet that I painted white and I have Ikea drawers to the left and right and also a table behind to give me plenty of space to work. This is really a workhorse.

Another Baby Quilt
I also received a beautiful cream fabric and since I still had plenty of fabric from the fat quarter bundle, I made another baby quilt that is a little bigger using that fabric. I’ll share that quilt in my next blog post.
Rusty on the Quilt
Rusty loves getting his picture taken anymore. What a change from 3 years ago when we rescued him. Then if you pointed a camera at him he cringed. Now he is my model.
Sheer Bliss Hopscotch Baby Quilt
When I made a baby quilt, I like to do fairly large free-motion quilting so the quilt stays soft and cuddly. I will also wash and dry a baby quilt before gifting it.

Beautiful quilt. With this hot, humid weather is a good time to get some quilting done. I’m only working on small projects and trying to clear out some stuff also. I enjoy the sewing/quilting much more, however have to get rid of some excess. Thank you, Connie- you are always inspiring.
When it is hot I don’t want to be outside so quilting is what I like to do also. Thanks!
