I can’t wait to share with you all kinds of beautiful batik quilt projects. Being an ambassador means creating a new quilt projects each month using a variety of methods which can sometimes be challenging.
In 2014 I was one of the first Island Batik Ambassadors and I think there was just 12 of us. One year there were 50! In 2024 there are 26 Island Batik Ambassadors and I’ll be sharing links to all of their projects over the year.
What does it mean to be an ambassador?
I have had several people ask me what it means to be an ambassador for Island Batik.
- You will receive several boxes twice year that contain their fabrics
- You will also receive different items from other companies (this changes all the time)
- You will get a calendar of events showing what you will make each month
- You will take part in blog hops with the other ambassadors
- You will inspire other quilters to work with their beautiful batik fabrics
- Have fun and be creative!
How do you become an Island Batik Ambassador?
Every fall, I think in September or October, Island Batik will have an application on their website that can be filled out if you would like to apply.

My Island Batik Ambassador Journey
Are you curious to see what I have received in the past? Take a look at what I received in 2014-2019.
That is good news Connie about your heart and also on becoming a Batik Ambassador. A brilliant start to the New Year. Poor little Rusty – it reminds me of the times we dug paths out for the cat to get into the garden when we had snow. You will have to get Rusty a little snowboard and put a box on it so he can see over the snow.
Oh Connie, that is fabulous. I truly enjoyed my time as and ambassador. I know you will enjoy your year, and I look forward to seeing all your creations!
I am looking forward to seeing these new Batiks. Sending wishes to you fir good news from your doctor
Congratulations Connie. I am excited that you will be joining the group and I look forward to your projects.
